Sony pictures and Merlin join forces with Jumanji

It’s been announced today that Merlin and Sony have joined forces to bring new Jumanji experiences across the world.

We already know about Gardaland this year, and the rumours about Chessingtons new coaster, which seems pretty much confirmed as the press release mentions the next attraction will be in the UK and work has already started. But where else could we see new Jumanji attractions?

I have very high hopes for the dark ride at Gardaland. It's the best park in the Merlin portfolio and already has one of the best dark rides in Europe with their pirates boat ride, which was refurbished by Merlin a few seasons ago. Oceaneering's multi-motion ride system is probably the best dark ride system on the market too, it 100% looks like it's going to be that.

As for the 2023 attraction.. that's got to be Project Amazon. All signs are pointing to it it.

At least it's an IP that will still be popular by the time Merlin open their attractions based on it, as I imagine the next film will come out around summer 2024.
