Southport Pleasureland

I was looking on RCDB and I see that they have got a listing for an unknown under construction coaster opening up at Southport in 2025, but the interesting thing is it states "An artist drawing suggests this will be a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter or Infinity Coaster".

Has something moved along with this without it being mentioned here with regards to the model and opening or are RCDB taking a bit of a wild guess here or just putting two and two together and making five? Are there any signs of work beginning to take place that could indicate a 2025 opening?

Edit - Just seen that this was already discussed in this thread back in March when Norman Wallis shared the concept art of a Gerstlauer coaster, I must have missed that.

The park hasn't had a decent functioning coaster in years, lots (and lots) of promises, but zero in actual physical appearance.
The man running the place is a showman, and it shows.
Nothing but bullshit and bluster I'm afraid, and after this summer, I can't see him having the funds either.
More chance of Knightmare turning up.

On one hand I understand this but it's a desperately sad time for Southport. Given the horrific events last year I think the government could cough up some cash to support the town which was already suffering a significant decline.

The best was of getting people to visit Adventure Coast' will be new ride offering but as always the reality doesn't always support this

I think it's probably best they rebrand the place and give it a clean break from the former Pleasureland.

With the issues they've had on the pier up the road too even before what happened this summer, it seems like tourism there needs a helping hand, maybe a 'new' park will help a little bit, I agree too it would be nice if central/regional government could throw a bit of money that way too

What’s happened with that coaster they were supposedly building?

I seem to remember it being initially announced as a Zamperla a few years back and then becoming a Gerstlauer, but it all seems to have gone a bit quiet now…

The last two larger coasters didn't seem to operate very often.
Didn't manage to get on either of them despite a few half hearted attempts.
