Strange questions that sometimes need answering (or not asking in the first place really).

Has a weird dream ….. but the question is, what was Megabass on 80’s/90’s stereos

One of the many options on hifi that never made any sense. I bought one with STEREOWIDE. Basically spread the sound across both speakers, ruining the actual sound.

Bass boost was another option.

I do miss an 80s hifi with all it's pointless lights telling you how loud the sound was and the mileometer on the tape deck.

Why do old guys walk with their hands clasped behind their backs? You see older chaps of a certain generation walking around like this all the time, is it an etiquette thing to avoid putting their hands in their pockets as they consider it rude, or is it some kind of posture thing?
I know this post was weeks ago now but I've only just read it. I'm now concerned because I hoped that no one noticed, but I do this a lot. The reason is back comfort when walking at strolling pace. I need to constantly change position when doing almost anything these days, and something simple like repositioning your arms behind your back and leaning forwards relieves some pressure on your lower back.

I change position when sitting for long periods, as well, standing, and laying in bed at night. Basically my back cannot be in one position for a sustained period for too long without causing discomfort. Hands behind my back pushes my shoulder blades in towards each other and moves load away from my lower back.

But now you mention it, it is somewhat of a 'Mr Burns' thing to do. I'm only just coming up for 42 so not old! When I tie a jumper round my neck and do this as well (that's basically how I walk home from work when I've done an early shift as it's colder on my way in) then I must look like a right old codger.

Anyone that didn’t turn Megabass to on and slide up the bass all the way up and the treble all the way down on the graphic equaliser on their Walkman wasn’t doing it right.

Also why has nobody brought out a wireless Bluetooth noise cancelling version of these bad boys yet?

You know when a pub is trying to be posh, the toilets have soap and "lotion" next to the sinks? What exactly are they expecting people to do in there‽
