Surreal news articles

You might have seen this on the news last night, some people have more money than sense.

"Racing Pigeon Sells For A Record-Breaking $1.9 Million At Auction":eek::eek:

My question isn't why would you spend 1.9 million on a pigeon, it's why would you buy a pigeon? Even if you needed one there are thousands terrorising beaches across the world. I think people who go to beaches would be happy to not be pooed on or have their lunch stolen.

Racing pigeons...still not worth the effort!
The bird won every race it entered for a year, by a long way apparently.
The guy (mystery anonymous name) now has the top male and female breeding pigeons...in the world.
Breeding from them can be truly big money.
The new owner has a steady big income in breeding for the next decade or so...and with the pedigree people will be queueing up to buy from him.
Useless pigeon fact no.1...
The pigeon is the only bird that can drink by suction...all the others have to tip their neck back.
Bring on pigeon weekend at the Winter Gardens,
Coo.

I sadly have to announce that Pigeon Weekend 2021 at the Winter Gardens has been cancelled.
Another big loss for the town, truly the first busy weekend of the year for the B&B trade in the north of the town.
Curse you covid.
2022 will be the 50th event.
Party.
Flat capped tykes with little cardboard boxes, drunk in every gutter.

Oops, Rob lies again.
Doves can suck it up too.

Dove and pigeon are the same bird, they are from the same family of birds known as Columbidae, like any species, there will be different variants

The same goes for parrots, not many people are aware that Budgies, Love Birds and Cockatiels are all parrots
