Man surrenders to police for 'peace and quiet'

A wanted man surrendered to police to avoid more time in lockdown with the people he lives with, a force said.

The man, who has not been named, handed himself in to officers on Wednesday afternoon in a bid for some "peace and quiet".

Insp Darren Taylor, of Sussex Police, posted about the bizarre exchange on Twitter, along with a Minions Gif.

He added: "One in custody and heading back to prison to serve some further time on his own."

'Entire pavement stolen' from Storrington village overnight

A council is reviewing CCTV footage after reports that a large section of pavement was stolen from a village in West Sussex.

Dozens of paving slabs were found to be missing in Storrington on Tuesday.

A picture of the scene received more than 1,000 comments after being posted on Reddit with the caption: "An entire pavement in my village was stolen last night".

Horsham District Council said it had reported the theft to Sussex Police.

Mystery tree beast turns out to be croissant

When animal welfare officers received a report of an unusual animal lurking in a tree in the Polish city of Krakow, they were not sure what to expect.

"People aren't opening their windows because they're afraid it will go into their house," the woman reportedly said.

But a visit to the area showed the creature in question was not a bird, or even an reptile - but a croissant.

The Krakow Animal Welfare Society said the incident was genuine.

And your point is? Both stories are completely different, one in Scotland and the other is in Warwickshire. The only thing that link those is the fact I've used the Metro link. I could have posted using the Sun link, but I know members on here avoid clicking on the SUN
