Heaven forbid that SBF Visa start following Towers on Instagram.

I wouldn't worry about that either, given they've been defunct since 2001.Don't worry about SBF. if Togo come knocking... Then get worried.![]()

I just had a new SW9 idea after hearing a piece of news today. If you didn't know, B&M today filed a patent for Surf Coaster. Many have suggested that this could be some sort of water coaster from the company, or at least something involving water.
You may also remember that earlier in the thread, @michaelanthony1252 mentioned that he had heard talks of SW9 being a water coaster. So if we put 2 and 2 together, my idea is; could SW9 be this new B&M concept? Alton Towers is well-known for building new B&M concepts, and this Surf Coaster of B&M's could potentially give Alton a water ride, so it seems plausible to me!
What do you guys think?

A water coaster would fit the park perfectly and is just what Towers needs.I just had a new SW9 idea after hearing a piece of news today. I can't see Towers investing in a B&M ever again. Zamperla probably have a bigger chance.
I can, but only if they have the right product. B&M's just by their design and track gauge take up alot of space, wing coasters and dive machines even more. With B&M's current offerings Alton are very very limited in what they do with B&M.

Not only that but they are expensive to buy. Given that other coaster manufacturers have advanced their portfolios and offerings for somewhat reasonable prices in comparison, Merlin aren't going to be looking at B&M as first options for a long time. Plus the last few B&Ms that Merlin have put in haven't exactly had the biggest pulling power for new guests.

Yeah if Towers did get a water coaster they'd most likely go for Mack or Intamin.

Definitely doesn't help either that they've gone for Wing Riders and Divers which are considered the least favourable B&Ms.

It's a shame that the new big coaster cycle seems to be the only idea they have. It means the rest of the park continues to get worse every year too. They need to invest into the park and forget about coasters for a while for me. If there's not enough coasters action there for you now then there is no pleasing people.

Realistically, they should get a bunch of well-themed thrill flats next. The park is in dire need of them.

I'm not a fan of most flats but they need something else. You can't just be good at coasters and nothing else.
Personally I'd prefer coasters plus more dark rides (including getting N-ST back open.
