In all the years that I've been visiting parks, taking photos on dark rides or other guest taking photos on dark rides have never ruin the ride experience for me. Plenty of people were taking pic/filming in the Gruffalo at CWOA on Monday and it never ruin the ride experience for me in any way.
I was at chessington on monday....i thought i saw your partner early in the day waiting outside vampire (i've seen you post pictures on here)
It was our annual 'take the kids out of school for a long weekend and get on lots of rides without queue's' weekend....we did Towers friday...london merlin stuff sat/sun and Chessington monday
We had a great day it's still a good park off peak....my little lad was wearing a Wicker Man hoodie...he got lots of attention off people all weekend because of it....so wouldn't take it off his back
sorry to go off topic
Ride operations and opening times were so much better at Chessington compared to Alton. Even the staff were so much more welcoming. Take note Alton. My only complaint with Chessington is that they close the Rattle snake ride at 3pm on quiet days, nothing on the website, map or on park saying that this ride closes early.

Don't you time lapse anyway? If I was allowed to film on smiler I probably would record every lap I do and work out which lap was the fastest/slowest and the average lap time, yes, I’m that sad.

It's the same as at gigs.
Why waste time trying to film an experience...actually enjoy it, and look back at the memories.
The old lady in this picture says it all.

I'd probably argue that if someone knows they are being filmed, their 'reactions' would probably play up to the camera far more than normal.
But that's the cynic in me

.... Nah, too easy.Guess it depends if they know whether they're being filmed or not.

Europa have no issues at all with chest filming. Towers are just making a hash of everything re social media at the moment.

Any photos please? In the last week or so the entrance sign at the rapids has been replaced and the new version states cameras and phones are banned.
Possibly a slight overreaction if it's just to spite a former staff member but there you go.

That takes spite to a whole new level if true.
