Still find it hilarious how TWD has a higher height restriction
Thing is, Th13teen and wicker man both have dark themes yet Alton/Merlin still managed to make them family friendly with the 1.2m height requirement, so what’s the excuse for TWD? Like Hyperia is going to have a ton of kids who are 1.3m going on it yet they can’t even ride the kiddie coaster inside a pyramid

Well the actual height restriction of the ride was 1.2m when it was previously X:\ No Way Out, but it was increased to 1.4m when it was rethemed to The Walking Dead in order to help assist with the recommended age restriction of 13+. Due to its themes you don’t really want young kids of say 8 years old going on it just because they have hit 1.2m, the additional height restriction helps to show that’s this isn’t a ride for that kind of age range.Still find it hilarious how TWD has a higher height restriction

With a 13 age restriction on it too so average height of like 1.56m, not that they regularly enforce this though.Still find it hilarious how TWD has a higher height restriction

Yeah I remember during the x days it was a lot more accessibleWell the actual height restriction of the ride was 1.2m when it was previously X:\ No Way Out, but it was increased to 1.4m when it was rethemed to The Walking Dead in order to help assist with the recommended age restriction of 13+. I just think it really hinders thorpe to not have a family coaster in their lineup.
Hopefully when the IP expires we can see a more family friendly theme/ destroy it and open a mack family spinner or something.
I think considering actors on the ride are rare, nothing about TWD is necessarily 'scarier' than say th13teen

I'm not entirely convinced there's truth in this - you wouldn't purposefully put additional restrictions on a ride, to create more potential for guest services flare-ups.Well the actual height restriction of the ride was 1.2m when it was previously X:\ No Way Out, but it was increased to 1.4m when it was rethemed to The Walking Dead in order to help assist with the recommended age restriction of 13+. To me, as a parent of under 13s, it seems the correct decision to do that. I think if you just had it as 1.2m you’d have more problems with parents insisting that their 8 year old 1.2m kid should be allowed to go in the ride, and then getting angry with the ride staff and actors for their child being terrified. I think 1.4m helps set a barrier that keeps out younger riders on a ride that may not be suitable for them, and I think it’s perhaps a similar situation to the reason for the 1.4m restriction for Sub Tera as well. There is definitely an interesting discussion to be had regarding age restrictions on rides due to their themes and contents and one that is perhaps worthy of its own topic elsewhere.I'm not entirely convinced there's truth in this - you wouldn't purposefully put additional restrictions on a ride, to create more potential for guest services flare-ups.

I don’t know if it does. They’re firmly in the older thrill demographic and one family coaster isn’t going to make much of a difference imo unless it’s something outstanding, not to mention Merlin have 2 other parks about 10 miles away that already cater specifically for those markets.

There's only one solution: All parks must be strictly over 21 only. Just think how many more coasters they could squoze in if they didn't have to waste space on kiddyland stuff! And how much more peacefull would our lives be?

Mild on tap, cash only stalls and bullseye on every TV?Why 21, I would say at least 40.
All Hyperia seats lazyboy recliners, clean toilets on both station platforms, sorted.
My lengthy tirade against alton because I couldn't buy my bottle of brown ale because of a stupid no cash rule in the Tavern is on distant record here somewhere...probably pet hates.
I met Mr Bowen on a few occasions as a good northerner.
Bitter please, not mild.
And back on topic, strangely, I will be having a minor op on Hyperia day.
If I chat with the anaesthetist about it as I go under, I might be in for a right ride!

Don't have too wild of a ride though. These chemicals can mess with your head.
I remember waking up with a brownish substance on my leg. In a very hazy state, i summoned the nurse and prepared to confess to potentially having a little accident whilst i was sleeping (what i thought was a heavy night out on the ales). She kindly reminded me that i had just had surgery on my ankle, and my leg was covered in iodine and that she promised that i had not been on a big night out (or defecated on myself), even though at some point i could have sworn i was stood at the bar of one of the clubs near me. Strange stuff, have a good trip.
Well aware mate, the lump coming out is the second of a typical pair, this is the less naughty one.
Last time we were talking in pre op about my three legged dog being the last op in our family...as I was getting hooked up with the wires and tubes.
Then suddenly I was arguing with some strange people who were stopping me walking the dog in the local park, and they just wouldn't let me past...
Yup, being gently restrained by the op recovery team...some four hours later.
They enjoyed the story after...they are used to it.
Bring on the ket.

Instead of counting down from 10 while the anaesthetic kicks in, you could watch a Hyperia POV.
Hmm, on second thought, the POV might finish before you're out.
