The programme was listed as drama, in a current drama series, on Halloween, with the continuity announcer making it clear that it was a drama.
It didn't change the way tv was listed, because the actual listing, at the time, was accurate.

It did however have a massive impact when Ofcom came to create their broadcast code. Any "fake" news, or spoof documentary, for narrative purposes has to be presented in such a context that an audience could reasonably deduce that it's not real.

Ghostwatch did push it incredibly close though, once the continuity announcement was over, by roping in Michael Parkinson.

Speaking of programmes that wouldn't get made today. Thank god this is one of them. How that lasted so long, is beyond me. Considering the back lash something like dapper laughs got at the time. Which, wasn't too different to what Keith Lemon is saying and doing. Even on This Morning. Which as we know, the bastion of decent taste!

I'll go to bat for the first series of Little Britain and the preceding two radio series, in which there is much wittier dialogue, the characters appear slightly less cartoonish, and the overall tone is more so celebratory of its oddball creations. Almost everything from S2 onwards is absolutely foul, and completely witless compared to what Lucas and Walliams had previously been capable of.

What really intrigues me about this, is not that in was published by RARE (the guys who made Donkey Kong Country!), was on the N64 of all consoles, no. The real thing that impresses me is that Conkers Bad Fur Day exists and is like this in the first place. No regard for what console or who made it.

I don’t say this lightly; they certainly don’t make them how they used to. Not this one…
