[šŸŒŽ Universal GB] General Discussion

Here is the pokemon news.
Naming your child Pikachu has just been banned in Japan.
I’m just hoping that law isn’t going to affect anyone anyway.

I think I’d appreciate an update to their list of protected characteristics before that.. but I suppose more pressing matters are present.

So a few weeks ago, I heard that the final house between Annex and 4 Eastwood Cottages, would be empty likely by end of next week but by the end of June. This is the group of houses before the current entrance into the concrete area:

Looks like preparation has started to fence these properties off as concrete blocks have appeared to the rear of numbers 2-4.

I’m confused did Universal buy all those houses in question on the picture? So everyone who lived in those houses accepted the offer just left?

They bought:

Annex, the first building that was built by the father of the family who lived in no 1, for £333,500.
No 3, sold for £333,500
No 2, sold for £339,750

No 1 is still going through but they are due to move out.

I'd heard 5 was empty, but there was no sign of anything linked to Universal even yesterday and I'd be told that it they were wanting an offer but nothing had happened, today:

Also today, they appear to have started drilling on the concrete, I didn't want to go too close with the drone

Finally, there are several roadworks listed for boreholes over the next week, the first one didn't happen on Broadmead so I assume will be relisted but it appears they're looking at the area near Vine Cottages which appear ready for demolition,

Happens all the time. If you've been offered 2x your actual home's value why would you turn it down?

Its a no brainer, be offered way over the value of your home and you also swerve being park of a huge building site for the next five years..

Surly it can be long until we see the full planning app being submitted
