Emergency notice is a bit extra isn’t it.

One assumes they couldn’t get the regulation/stop order in place until the SDO was active I guess.

All the vloggers are going to descend to the field on the 27th of January, aren’t they?

Can just imagine the Go-Pros on a stick with a load of 20-40 something men running in a field and some going down tripping over mile hills…

Vac-ex is normally done around known locations of pipes and cables. Could be trying to avoid damaging the culvert or any expensive bunches of buried fibre going through there

Nice to see the LEGO base plate logistics is moving forward through the field. Good sign for impeding heavy machinery

Is it just me or have they gone way too early on 'construction videos'? Its basically the same field it was 2 years ago. 🤣

In fairness TPWW have been remarkably restrained in thier coverage so far. I'm not going to criticise other YouTubers for covering it though, as it's a once in a lifetime event they get to follow from start to finish.

The beginning is always the boring part

Think its nice it'll all be documented, whilst I'll keep an eye on things via here I can't imagine I'll be interested in watching many vlogs until actual buildings and supports are getting poured.

Last few years in Liverpool with Evertons stadium and the expansion at Anfield were great to follow via local drone operators and their YouTube channels.

TPWW has basically stopped covering it after the concept art dropped.

As for other youtubers, I'm actually thankful we're getting very consistent updates, this sort of stuff is right down my alley. I've managed to stay excited, even during the 'changes drought from July 2024 to Jan 2025' when the usual update would basically be 'a van turned up'.

These are the vloggers who believe they will be entitled to an exclusive preview due to their public service to the project, ahead of board members, the teams who have worked to design and construct the site, space satellites snapping photos, and so on.

The channels I watch are nothing of the sort. Project Universal and @WanderingNortherner do it because this is something they are passionate about. This is a severely cynical view that I haven't seen reflected in the actual vlogging.

After all this is the biggest Theme Park news and project that has ever hit our country, so it's normal to expect some vloggers would want to follow the project from inception. To just accuse them of doing this because they want an 'exclusive preview' both does them a disservice and massively undersells the sheer magnitude of this project to this country and it's Theme Park industry.

The Jack Silkstone somehow managed 39 Hyperia construction videos, before any actual construction started to take place.

Never underestimate the ability of a vlogger to monetise a muddy puddle.

No one is doubting their passion. One would have to be incredibly passionate to stand in a field in Bedfordshire, in the drizzle, filming a fence where absolutely nothing has happened for six months.

There is a fine line between documenting history and feeding the algorithm, however.

Whilst this is undeniably a monumental project for the UK leisure industry, we are currently at the stage where the most exciting visual development is a change in the length of the grass. Dedicating entire channels to it right now is less about "following from inception" and more about speculating on soil samples.

As for the "exclusive preview" cynicism... history suggests that those who shout the loudest (and most frequently) about a project tend to find themselves on the media list come opening day. It isn't necessarily a disservice to point that out. It is simply acknowledging the standard operating model of the influencer economy.

I am sure they are lovely people, but I and others reserve the right to find the monetisation of a muddy field somewhat tedious.

The thing with vloggers. They act like they know how a theme park operates and all the nitty gritty aspects of it when in reality they don't have a clue Theme Park Worldwide is prime example when he made that video cover Merlin issues

Hippy green gardener here...count me interested...and worried.
My punters have the stuff everywhere and want it cutting.

In January.

Local water shortage in the new park area is still a major issue apparently.

Yeah, how dare people act like they know how a theme park operates, and all of the nitty gritty aspects of it, and post stuff on the internet like they're actually the experts!

*ahem*
