Construction of the new IOA Harry Potter coaster is coming along nicely:

Looks like there is a launch leading up to a steep incline.

Apparently it might hold you at the top of the incline, do a switch track and then drop you backwards.
Sounds simple then where barely anything could cause long periods of downtime........ermmmmm.

Hope it goes soon, the throughput makes the Sky Rocket II look like a real people eater. The ride is garbage as well.
There were rumours that they wanted a GCI or GG wooden coaster in Jurassic Park... so maybe this is it.

Wouldn't a traditional woodie be an absolute maintenance nightmare in a park live Universal? There were rumours that they wanted a GCI or GG wooden coaster in Jurassic Park... so maybe this is it.

I see there's been a photo of some of the track for the new Potter coaster inside the building. Im not sure how you post pics etc but i sure somebody will find it soon anyway.
Definitely looks like we're getting Velocity at Flamingo land only on a much bigger scale and with amazing theming. Would have been nice to see the Arthur style ride but the supports pretty much ruled that out and now the track sightings certainly do.
Hagrid's Motorbike through the dark Forest? Could be a quality ride tbf if they do the theming well.

Well it could be flying on threstrals, hippogriffs, or broom sticks.
Not that good on Potter personally. See most of the films but not really an avid fan. However I don't think I remember brooms flying round the forest and I have no idea what a thestral is. Hippogriffs are what they have already don't they on the family coaster?

Threstrals technically already appear in the park. They pull the horseless carriages, one of which can be seen after arriving on the Hogwarts Express in IOA. Or can’t be seen to be more accurate as the carriage is animated to look like it’s there.
I wouldn’t expect them to Theme a ride off of something invisible.

Looks good! Hopefully its an Intamin too which I think is still plausible at this point.
I was really sad to see a decent B&M disappear but I'm sure this will fill the gap nicely and will be much more in-fitting with 'immersion' Universal are obviously going for.
