Saves me having to check it every 2 minutes to see if someone's replied so I can keep reading through a thread.

Is this really an issue, Leah? The shout box is rarely very active, especially to the point when there's new messages every few seconds. Surely you can read a thread then go check if you really want to see if someone's replied?

Not really an issue, but when it is active (yes, rare) then it would be more convenient. It's hard to read the latest 40 messages on the smiler thread whilst constantly checking the shoutbox
