What colour is this jumper?!

That's because older red paints never had a top coat, so get bleached by the sun.I had a car that colour once and have avoided since because it went pink.
Like all the pink royal mail vans you see.
In the right hands the paint can be polished back to its original vibrance quite easily.

Like that Brown and orange shirt with the big collar on it you used the wear back in the 70's then Rob?First of all, I ticked the idiot button for correctness.
Incredibly, as a sad seventies student with brick/plank bookshelves, I painted the bricks in that very colour, and much debate was had on the red/orange colour...just like the jumper.
Sad book facts, the fruit came before the colour name, the colour used to be known simply as reddy yellow.
That jumper, sir, is reddy orange, no question.
It is not a pure red.
I should know, I read the book from the charity shop...
Red.
About 400 pages.
About the colour and it's history in civilisation.
Absolutely boring as shite...but I should have kept it for appropriate topic reference, sorry.
Orangey red, the old *** has spoken.
Maybe you still wear it.......
Back in the good old days of woodwork, the fashion for orange and chocolate brown was indeed discussed for the seat ropework of the stools we were making.
I still have mine (red), our shakey still has his.
My stool is still red decades later, and that jumper is still either orangey red, or reddy orange.

It looks orange to me
I’m colourblind though, so that all but confirms it’s actually red

If anything, in this picture, it looks even more orange than when I saw it in person.
