Wicker Man: 'That' Room

It’s the one bit of the ride that’s annoying. Yea the maintenance shed and ending is a bit pants, but it’s in darkness and has audio. But the concrete bunker you go through is bright and you can see everything even if it’s only for a few seconds.
The smoke machine seems to not work, more then it does and often when it does go off you whizz through the room before any real amount of smoke has pumped out.
Also what I don’t get is that on the left hand wall there are a load of plug sockets which as far as I can tell are not used and have nothing plugged in to them. Which would suggest to me there must have been a plan to have something else in there.
A cheap and easy fix would be to simple either attach a load of dirty old cloths to the walls (a bit like what’s just outside the station as you go towards that room), or get leek signs to make something similar (but that might look too fake, being just a sign). Or apply a load of wood to the walls to keep it wit the theme a bit more. Rather than a concrete room.
I do think the original idea of having all of that turn out of the station to the bottom of the lifthill in darkness would have worked better, and probably made that drop out the station a bit more dramatic and unexpected.

The smoke effects were working in there this evening but even so the entire pre-lift section of the ride still seems a bit of a missed opportunity. It's not as bad as the Galactica tunnel but honestly not a whole lot better.
I'm not sure what the original intention was and whilst I don't think it really matters as much as it would if it had been at the end of the ride rather than the start, it seems odd that they didn't do slightly more with the space, even if the budget didn't allow for what was originally planned.

I'll say they were working, they went off in my face...

Bradley Wynne apparently said that they wanted it to feel as though you’re “gradually peeling away from a burning building” in that portion.
That sounds quite gruesome and incredibly painful...

Perhaps “escaping” would be a less gruesome way of putting it than “peeling away from”; that’s probably more like what he said, in fairness. That sounds quite gruesome and incredibly painful...
