Will Disney always remain the top dog of the theme park industry?

The Disney line of restriction of attendance to improve the guest experience is patently nonsense. If they were genuinely concerned with guest experience they would not have implemented so many of the changes they’ve made to the parks.

I think this is a case of the policy following the reality. The reality is that Disney have not meaningfully expanded their parks in years, certainly not relative to the increase in attendance they’ve seen in the same period. That means they’re now in a position where they cannot cope with the demand they have; their parks don’t have enough attractions and they can’t staff the attractions they do have because they’ve treated their staff so poorly and/or sacked then during the pandemic.

That has forced them to adopt this policy of restricting attendance - they can’t otherwise cope with the demand because of their own timid strategy of investment.
