Although it may be hard to believe, TowersStreet is going to turn 14 years old in 2026! Without getting too sentimental, this place has given me a lot of good times over the years, and I’d like to hope it’s done the same for many others. But I did not start this thread primarily to be sentimental (or perhaps I did, I guess!); I started this thread to have a good laugh and think about some of the threads and posts on this site that really stick out in my memory! So this evening, I’d be keen to know; what have been some of your favourite, or at very least most memorable, TowersStreet posts and threads of all time? If you were to nominate some posts or threads to be in the TowersStreet Hall of Fame as an all-time classic, what ones would you pick?
Personally, one of my favourite threads was the first ever Layout Geek League I competed in, in my first winter on the site: https://towersstreet.com/talk/threads/the-new-layout-geek-league-2017-18.4596/
It was in 2017/18 and run by @Sammy, and while I was utterly hopeless (and thoroughly schooled on this by numerous members, particularly @DiogoJ42 and @Rick!), I had so much fun playing the game! And while I cringe at my own 14 year old behaviour in that game, some of the responses from seasoned members do make me laugh in retrospect! Some of my… er… most memorable moments from that thread include:
And not forgetting this exchange at the very beginning… evidently starting as cringingly as I meant to go on!:
Good times! I utterly cringe at my own conduct 8 years later, but I do look back and laugh at some of the camaraderie and how much fun I had!
So, I’d be keen to know; what have been some of your favourite or most memorable TowersStreet threads/posts from over the years? Let’s reminisce and create a hall of fame of the truly classic posts and threads from over the years!

Is it the Ultimate at Lightwater Valley, by any chance? Looks like that sort of very meandering layout.
…See, this is exactly why I used to have the no UK coasters rule. If you're going to be that wrong, at least be that wrong about an obscure home made contraption in Guam, not one of the top coasters in our own country!
What?! How did you get that so quickly? I purposely went with Bahrain so it was more obscure than Portugal and South Africa! I honestly don't know how much more obscure I can go?
P.S. Well done. You have earned 3 points, if my message didn't imply that.
Maybe it was intuition. Maybe I'm a genius. Maybe I quoted the post to decry your artwork yet again and you'd named the file 'Super_Train_Water_Garden_Salmaniya.png'. I guess we'll never know
Layout to follow.

EDIT: Um, er, I don't actually have Paint to draw a layout on if I win.
So you don't have any access at all to a windows PC? Do you live in Scarfolk or something?
Whatever OS you use, there are better free drawing programs available than MS Paint. You only need to be able to draw a series of short connected straight lines! (Though it makes things easier if you can use layers to trace over a screenshot).
Oh.. I do have a Windows PC. A Windows 10 PC, in fact. I just thought you had to pay for graphic software like that.
You wouldn’t believe I went on to get a Computer Science degree after not knowing how to find Paint, would you?Mother of Wardley, all hope is lost for the younger generation.
I was going to reccomend GIMP, but it may be a bit too advanced for someone who doesn't know how the start menu works...
