Only 20 days to go until opening, what are your hopes for the 2015 season at the Towers? What would you really like to see, what don't you want to see etc?

    My thoughts:

    • I hope they have done something to the Air tunnel (we can but hope year upon year!)
    • I hope the Nemesis red water is back this year
    • I hope the "green" Oblivion restraints have been replaced
    • I don't want to see more fences everywhere!!

    Air Tunnel is the same

Red water in Nemesis will never come back (this one is out of their control apparently)

I hope Merlin sell the park to Roland Mack.

    I hope,

They have sorted the drainage problem in the smiler queueline.
The addition of a few more blue light to air's tunnel (i can only dream)
the water overflow problem with nemesis is sorted. (lol)
some toilets has been upgraded so they are warmer and don't look like 80's service stations ones.

    Gotta be Oblivion tbh!
Do you by any chance know why they can't bring back the blood rivers? I'm presuming its some environmental issue with the dye right?
Its always been a huge part of the ride, and without it it just doesn't have the whole "horror" theme any more? People always say things like "Oh I went on nemesis with the rivers of blood!" like its always been a significant part of the experience!

If it is the case that its never coming back i'm deeply unhappy! :(

The blood rivers on Nemesis can't be brought back because I believe Towers got into a bit of trouble with the Environment Agency for releasing too much of the dyed water back into the local river system, so to stop that happening again, they're no longer using dye in the water. Which is a shame, as it did make the ride feel better.

So the rumour goes there was a couple of accidental cock-ups where water from the lake got pumped into the local water system. As Jonathon says the environment agency put a stop to them using the dye.

That's as far as we know anyway.

Yup, nemesis has no overflow water storage. Which is a shame

When did the due stop being used? I do remember it being a strange pink colour for quite some time. I also remember there was a long period when no water river effects were switched on at all so I suppose what we have now is better.

I think it was on at the start of 2014 but turned off shortly afterwards and remained off ever since.

I think the incident happened late 2013 so it was off all last season.

I would love the see the Smilers queue line sorted, by that I mean proper good working drains! It's not that much to ask for really. That would then make the inside much better rather than being the muddy mess that it usually is, and sometimes its a health and safety nightmare when its been raining because the floor is so slippy.

I would also like to see Dark Forest looking good (we know that won't happen). And just general refreshes around the park, we had a few last year with Towers Street being painted and CCL, but things like that should happen every closed season.

I can guarantee with almost cast-iron certainty that none of the things mentioned above have happened or will happen before Saturday 21st.

The worrying thing is i fear by the end of the season we will look longingly at 2014 as the "good old days"

I'd love to have the return of the TTTR music! But thinking about the not so dark forest, it would be good if the trees have grown considerably around Thirteen to give it more of a darky foresty feel!

I think Garry is referring to the old Thunder Rock Ralley Radio which played in Ug Land between Rita opening and its demise for Dark Forest.

    :)
