Yeah, add me to Flambos for Saturday, and I'll see what I can do roomwise :)
Cheers.

EDIT: Room booked for Sat night - apologies for being a cheapskate :p Looking forward to seeing you all for the first time in an age and being 'off the leash' on one of these trips!!

Really looking forward to trying out Flambo's (although I haven't exactly heard people sing its praises)!

I shall aim to be there for around 10:30 tomorrow :)
Looking forward to it, feels like AGES since fireworks!!
Also - people currently there - what's the weather doing? I'm a little concerned at the rate the snow is descending in Nantwich...

I had a great time this weekend! From the complimentary upgrade to the MOON ROOM, to the jaunt around Alton and the water park, it was definitely one of the nicest weekends I've had in a while. Only downside was Flambos, as I was sick afterwards last night and I'm still feeling a little funny. But otherwise, great night :)

Note to self; don't visit Flambo's.

Glad you all had a lovely time!

I wasn't overly impressed with Flambos either to be honest... but, whilst I also felt a bit icky afterwards, I put it down to overeating and... what I'd been drinking before hand...

That aside though - big thank you as ever to everyone that was there, it's done me a lot of good having my first properly sociable weekend in ages, and the good mood it's put me in has carried on all through Monday :) I'm now VERY much ready to get the season proper underway as well :)
Was nice to see a good mix of both old and new (some... very old that I'd somehow not encountered before!), and credit to those who picked this one as their first 'meet' - as welcoming and friendly as I've always said this group is, an off-season bar meet could be a scary one for the unprepared! Disappointed I missed the 'jaunt' into Alton early in the afternoon, but... there was snow, and I am bad at getting out of bed.
So, despite how downright... weird Ma's got after about 2:00AM (apparently, we're the Alton Towers appreciation society. And WE GOT NO FANS?), I had a good night. We learned that Nemesis beer is good, that earrings with Hans Moleman on do exist, that Josh cannot run on ice, that B&M HAVE made bad coasters, that a family resort has too much of a family atmosphere and that our group are spectacularly bad at playing I have Never (and even worse at the dreaded hand game).
I've also just remembered the whole 'SAM! STOP EATING HIS CRRRUUSSTS!' thing, which made me giggle.

Now I was only meant to pop up for a drink or two, but ended up staying over and even doing the walk on the Saturday before I had to leave for work on the Saturday afternoon :(

I had a good time, and it was nice to have a proper walk around Alton village and even finding a few bits of information about Alton while we did the walk. Lets hope next year it falls on my weekend off work!

It was a super weekend, aside from the bars at AT becoming more like crèches every visit...!

Thank you all! I loved the walk, loved the fun and love you all!

:D
