Your hopes, dreams and aspirations for the 2015 season

Since the scaff was chanegd twice, I was led to believe they considered it to be an enchancement to the area's theming so they installed it perminently, not actually a H&S issue?

No they hate the scaffolding, but they need something under the launch. The scaffolding changed as they did adapt the launch with a solution from Intamin but H&S vetoed it so the scaffolding returned.

Just to clarify this tabloid-style health & safety bashing, it's the fools that work for the park and not the Health & Safety Executive itself.

It's a shame they have to keep the scaffolding. I remember someone on here a while back suggesting some kind of gothic bridge instead of the scaffolding mess we have now. In reality that will never happen although it would compliment the area far more.

An enhancement to the areas theming? If they really did think that then wow, hilarious! Would sum up a lot of what is wrong when it comes to new theming and Alton Towers at the minute.

:)

Agreed, they're morons at the park. I've worked with people at HSE before and those guys are generally very helpful, intelligent folk.

How does Thorpe manage these days with Stealth since it's practically the same ride? I've not been recently.

Precisely this!

I'm not sure what they do at Thorpe, I've heard they have staff stop people from walking under the launch track and let so many people through in intervals. Not sure if they still do that now though, someone else might know.

I believe Stealths cable trough is different to Ritas (Intamin changed the design between models) so the cable is less likely to drop through the trough if the cable snaps.

Even with scaffolding there they could make more of an effort to blend it in. But alas they haven't. Although I will say I dont mind it.

I hope for butterflies and buttercups while dreaming of a sprinkling of rainbows

So why don't they retro fit the tray type Stealth has on to Rita and remove the scaffold?

so tap water, however you dont see them offering it around to the shareholders at the yearly shareholder meeting.

They don't need scaffolding, they could put up a themed tunnel but instead they've gone for the cheapest option, and it looks absolutely dire to be honest.

I agree with everyone about the smiler queue line and it's non existent drainage. Should have marketed it as a water ride.
Would be interesting to see if they put anything on the old submission plot as well. Also it would be nice to be able to actually see properly out of the monorail windows instead of feeling like you're in a cattle wagon
