Some fencing bits, not sure how long they have been there though.

I think it is to measure wind speed. Look at that black thing on the top. It's got to be to measure the wind. Also seems that there's a camera on there to.

As I won't fit in a woodchipper either I'm sticking my head over the parapet to say I heard a rumble on park today that TOMORROW is the day ;)

A week too late for my mega visit :( can only improve the number of people in the park even if half of them are media

We noticed this yesterday and I said the same thing, however they have made a gap in the fencing big enough for your arm to fit through, so the e-stop button can be easily pressed. I can only assume they've put it there to stop people accidentally pressing it when walking down into the pit. :)

I'm imaging the scene. A train stalls, a ride op presses the e-stop button. Suddenly, the trees disappear around you and blinding flashing lights appear, deafening sirens of all tones are simultaneously playing. A hundred flares are automatically shot into the air and steel walls assemble around the site in the blink of an eye.

On a serious note seems as though they're really being super cautious when it comes to any incident in the future. It's more than likely the new device does measure wind speed and direction. I wonder if this will mean the ride will close if the wind speed is considerable on a given day?

They can afford not to, if this happens again they may not recover from it as well as they have this time. I wonder if someone could fill me in on the history of the runaway mine train crash, what was the cause and what was put in place to stop it happening again?

The front part of the train severed from the back..... Went up the hill after the tunnel and then rolled backward into the back half that it severed from. Not sure they put anything into place as was a breakage of part not procedure.

I seem to have memories of them strengthen the part. Correct me if wrong.
