The 2 trains are sitting on the brake run before the station, the harnesses are up on 7 rows and no dummies in one of the trains.

If think no dummies is the sign, once it's run fine without them, they can open it I think. They've been reducing them every day (the amount of dummies)

If it couldn't do that I doubt it would have been allowed to open in the first place.

I'd imagine it runs empty every morning during pre opening testing just like all the rest of the coasters.

do you remember just before the accident they placed a advert on social media asking for a roller coaster tester? I guess that didn't work out too well.

I'm waiting for someone to say it might be open tomorrow and then they end up in a woodchipper!

One big clue,

have the signs made a comeback, and has any merch gone on sale in TT?

Few rumours flying about that there's been merch being put up in The Smiler shop. Otherwise they could do all of that overnight. They've only got a few signs to put up, and merch is fairly easily to put up, so they could do it overnight and surprise us with an opening.

If we see a sign (hehe) of signs making an appearance then that will almost certainly be proof of an imminent opening.

If post quality does not improve in this topic, I will not hesitate to dish out warnings.

Sorry to be so blunt, but please ensure that posts actively contribute to discussion, do not become personal and do not simply consist of one word.

Thank you.

Signage and merch inside TT will more than likely to appear overnight but it is interesting to note crates going into the smiler shop. I doubt they would have got rid of all the merch just after the crash.

I would suggest that operations are still weeks away from being ready, and we still don't know if it's under prohibition notice.

When do they usually release the new season opening date?

I hope they have some good new stuff as the old things were mostly rubbish. Pin badge would be nice since they are going for over £28 on ebay!

By operations what exactly do you mean? I think the wording may have confused me slightly.

He means preperations are still being undertaken for opening which are likely to take another week or so to complete....i.e. its not ready yet

That's exactly what I thought but I'd be interested to know why you believe this as all the recent evidence and opinion on this forum point the other

General cleanjng/maintenance been going on since last Wednesday, so it could be ready for any day this week, my guess is Wednesday based on nothing but what we've seen. :)

To be honest the date it reopens is irrelevant, yes we can speculate but the more important issue is what has been done to avoid this happening. At this stage in time we are all guessing when it is going to reopen without any facts with the exception of testing and the bins being lined.

I think in the middle, they know an opening is imminent so need to get everything ready for when they get the green light, but that light could still be weeks away

I'd assume all improvements have now been made and the notice is lifted if so the Merlin board will be waiting for the optimal moment to limit bad media and maximise people coming back to ride the smiler.
