The corkscrew lift hill was the sound of AT to me. You knew you in the heart of the action in Festival Park when you heard that. Back then, Festival Park was my favourite part of the park as it was crammed with excitement. That whole corner of the park including Talbot and coaster corner will never be the same again for me even if the buildings all still exist.

The ride in particular though is The beast. It was always like a supporting act, for Corkscrew when it was in coaster corner and then later Thunder Looper in Thunder Valley. Never the main attraction but made the area what it was in both locations. I also loved the vulnerability feeling on the seating arrangements.

Ahhhh the good old days :D

And here she is as "Superman" now... and looking rather good and well cared for in her old age!!

I only went on it twice but I do miss The Black Hole. It was so great to not be able to see what you were going to do. Or where the track would lead you.

Th13rteen is a bit like a The Black Hole I think.

I also miss the Corkscrew and Thunder Looper. And The Flume.

It's strange for me because the first time I visited the park was back in 2014, but now Ripsaw and Them Flume have gone I really miss them... Ripsaw was cool to watch and so was The Flume. The Flume was my first water ride.:(

I loved the black hole but there was an issue last time I went on and we had to ride with the lights on. Completely ruined it for me

EuroSat with lights on is just crazy, mainly because you get to see just how close you come to all of the supports. Arms down please!!

:)

It's the kicker wheel motor at the top of the lift that scares me when you pass under it on the spiral below.

Most of us would kill to ride a dark coaster with the lights on.

Don't get me wrong it was interesting to see and still enjoyable but I was a lot younger at the time and Still developing my love for rollercoasters
