Favourite weird websites.

Nice new one for me Diogo...just finished worstthingsforsale...Cheers again Mr Jones.
Winter idle now over sadly, gardening season begins, time to go on summer idle settings.
When does BPB go daily opening?

I've no idea if this might be of interest to anyone or not, but insomnia provides!
Found a fansite for the yank kiddy filled hell hole "Chuck E Cheese". Seems to have quite a bit of info on their animatronic shows, and how they changed over the years. Dear Wardley, they look terrifying!

Well that will haunt my dreams

I'd almost forgotten about this one... another depository of high-end weirdness for you...
http://www.phantomsandmonsters.com/
It's a blog that collects together all manner of witness reports, from bigfoot and mothman, through MIBs and BEKs, to aliens and ghosts.

A lot of them are short "I dun saw a fing wot lit up in da sky" codswallop. Every now and then there's a nice long, well written account that's as good as any creepypasa.

Not weird but more mad.

Lieutenant-Colonel John Malcolm Thorpe Fleming Churchill, DSO & Bar, MC & Bar (16 September 1906 – 8 March 1996), was a British Army officer who fought throughout the Second World War armed with a longbow, bagpipes, and a basket-hilted Scottish broadsword.

Easily one of my favourite historical figures ever just for the pure cojones of the guy. How he hasn't had a Hollywood film detailing his life I'll never know. Hollywood needs to get Gary Oldman on the blower.

Ah yes, there's a very good episode of Citation Needed on Tom Scott's youtube channel about him. :)

Just watched 5 minutes of this and nearly made myself for work.

Whoops! sorry rob666, on the plus side you can now educate Blackpool on Mad Jack.

Those who recall gadgets of yor, behold! I've only just found this site. Hardly scratched the surface of it. Seems to be from the same dude who runs Anything Radioactive (where I got my Geiger counter from).

Looks like there's quite a lot of old comms gear on here, @delta79 ;)

Another ten out of ten for this diogo.
Should be linked in to the two toilet topics within this site as well.
I feel all flushed.

Oooooh...the dusty gismos site...just spotted my first computer...sixth form skive zone.
Commodore PET(personal electronic transactor) 2001...back to1978!
Weighed about two tons, with a whole 32k of memory.
The basic was pretty standard, written by some winker called Bill Gates.
What became of him then?
Nice one Diogo.

Have you ever engaged in heated debate over what film or character is more badass? Wonder no more, with http://www.moviebodycounts.com !
They have lists for both individual characters, and overall movies. Using the strict rule that only on screen deaths count... so blowing up Alderan doesn't make the nameless mook who fired the Death Star laser top of the list. You have to see the body die.

The top tens of each list may well surprise you.... but I won't spoil it. ;)

Woah Diogo great site. Can't believe the monkey from Outbreak didn't make the top 10 though :(

I've been doing some testing of non cached websites in work so discovered this... http://www.theuselessweb.com

This has led me to such gems such as;

http://endless.horse
http://www.cat-bounce.com/mobile/index.html
http://isitwednesdaymydudes.ml
http://hasthelargehadroncolliderdestroyedtheworldyet.com
http://www.ismycomputeron.com

http://eelslap.com - amazing fun
http://www.staggeringbeauty.com - probable epilepsy warning needed.

And my personal favourite that I just wasted one hour (maybe 2) watching

I've found a rather morbid, yet fascinating, site about capital punishment. It goes in to great detail about the methods, and countries that do or did use them. Even lists specific executions and how "well" they did or did not go.

Now, to someone with a brain as messed up as mine, it's interesting. BUT, I suppose I should probably warn you sensitive young snowflakes that if you delve too deep in to this site, you will see real pictures of real corpses. Most of them are of the hidden "only click here if you really want to see it" variety, so they can be avoided.

Though frankly, if you are interested in reading about this sort of thing in the first place, I highly doubt it will bother you. It's nothing you haven't already seen in the [old] London Dungeon, or the Chamber of Horrors. You can see far worse gore on the news every day.

Anyway, long winded disclaimer over, have an interesting link about legalised murder:

Quality breakfast reading diogo...already found one interesting local history nugget, a local (Burnley) Hall had one of its residents hung, drawn and quartered a couple of hundred years ago.
When they eventually buried the bits after the second world war, it sounds like they popped a spare head in the coffin!
Presumably just to make sure the correct one was buried.
