I never thought it would come to this either, always had the belief Towers would turn things around and everything would be OK.
Never listened to the neigh sayers on here berating the park and whats going on.
But now, sat at home on my day off, in the past there would have been no question that I would have been at Towers for rides and fun.
NO, I'm sat at home with no inclination of getting into the car, there's no confidence left that if I did I would have a decent afternoon on park.

Its all just so Meh ! :(

Well at least they've got the mine train and the rapids open for 11am today.....and Nemesis up before Galactica for a change.

Spinball was up earlier so assume broken down but the other 3 thrill rides still not up probably just a case of not being ready in time again? I wonder if they are rotating which rides they are 'choosing' to open up late because of lack of staff?

It's pretty poor, their reputation is going to suffer a massive hit once the school trips season and summer holidays come around.

There are other parks nearby, such as Drayton. :)
 
A joke again today it would seem. This cannot continue in to the school trip season and then the summer. I used to laugh at how bad the downtime always used to be at Thorpe Park (and it may still be, unsure as I've not had a full day at Thorpe for a few years now) yet Towers are making Thorpe look pretty good!

I just had a look at Ride Times, and... no family rides are down! Result! WM queue is also only 80 minutes. Double result!

Also, we've gone from having 4 coasters unavailable to having 3 coasters unavailable! Let's hope that number goes down to 0 by the afternoon, but it's progress, Towers, so well done!

Also, well done Towers for getting Nemesis on 2 trains today!

Aside from Nemesis which was out of their control I don’t see any result in the above. It’s a shambles to have ride availability at the levels they currently operate .

Well done for only having 3 major coasters down at 11.30am! :banghead:

It is poor, so so poor.

Good to see that Nemesis is back on 2 trains though, that is somewhat of a relief.

I admire your positivity, I used to think only positive thoughts about the place, but this is becoming a regular thing every single day major rides are not available for when they should be, and it's really not good enough. They shouldn't be being praised for only having 3 major rides down at 11:40 nearly 2 hours after when they would've opened a few seasons ago.
 
And... we only have 1 major coaster unavailable! Fantastic! Come on, Towers, let's get to 0 by the afternoon!
 
I bring good news! Everything is available!!! Yay! Well done, Towers! I knew you could do it! Now let's keep this up for the rest of the day!
 
I think the fact that Alton Towers have the role of "Head of Product Excellence & Customer Insight" filled says a lot. Given how the 2018 season is going they need very dirty glasses on, as the product is far from excellent & you only have to read TripAdvisor to see what the average punter thinks of the park.
 
I think people should stop saying that coasters are "down" as that implies that AT aren't really culpable.

Those coasters aren't "down" at all for me. Been saying it for over 2 weeks now. They are rotating the rides to open first day by day because they have clearly not got enough staff to get them all running by even 11am.

It's an absolute shambles quite frankly. It's that bad we are celebrating Nemmy being back on two trains. A B&M invert on two trains? I never thought I'd live to see the day. ;)
