Gullivers Valley

Can't see why...ideal location with a large urban connurbation close to the motorway...not fifty miles away from its customers down narrow country roads.
Well said Rob. It's actually a very good spot. Less than 30 mins from Sheffield, Rotherham, Chesterfiled, Doncaster and Worksop and less than an hour from Barnsley, Leeds, Huddersfield, Nottingham, Lincoln and Derby.

And less than 5 mins from my house !

Oh I couldn’t agree more, location is fantastic for a park.

However, it’s Rotherham. Just, Rotherham (I’m allowed to say this, I live there! ) It’s the fact we’ve waited so many years for new wood in the UK, if a second GCI were to suddenly crop up in Rotherham it would be brilliant. I mean the fact the town already has two permanent coasters is hilarious enough as it is!

I find it hilarious that Rotherham of all places is the only place with coasters in South Yorkshire. :tearsofjoy:

I'd laugh at the lines of goons lining up to ride a GCI at a Gullivers park not realising that they'd need a child to enter...

I would imagine that regardless of manufacturer, they may arrange a special event for adults (enthusiasts) to check out the park.

:)

Clifton Park in Rotherham was voted 10th best amusement park in the UK in the trip advisor 2017 choice awards :)

Struggling to think of any beyond that are actually better, given that you'd assume Merlin would have 4, Blackpool, Drayton and Paultons following which gives you 7... Then Mingo and Lightwater would finish up that list...

There's not many others that would make up such a list...

For the record, the top 10 amusement parks of 2017 were as follows.

1. Poulton's Park
2. Blackpool Pleasure Beach
3. Alton Towers
4. Brighton Palace Pier
5. Drayton Manor Park
6. Adventure Island (Southend)
7. The Milky Way Adventure Park (Clovelly)
8. Sundown Adventureland (Retford)
9. Landmark Forrest Adventure Park (Carrbridge)
10. Clifton Park (Rotherham)

I am assuming this is based on average visitor rating and whatever trip advisor considers to be an amusement park.

To be honest I cannot argue with the top 3. I went to Poultons Park last year and I thought it was extremely well run and looked after. They set a standard that other parks could learn from IMO. We had a great day out.

What about Fantasy Island? cant believe thats missed off, even the one in Skeg is more of an amusment park than Clifton Park

Thorpe and Chessington aren't even in the top 10. Hilarious. :D
It is purely based on trip advisor rating though. And after my visit to chessington a couple of years ago I certainly would not have given it a good rating.
