Gullivers Valley

Well considering I live in Sheffield, and work in Meadowhall, it could be true

I work at Krispy Keme, but we are O/T

How do Gullivers get away with the age limit without falling foul of equality guff?

Anyone else heard of a planning app going in for a caravan park, right next to the proposed entrance? 12 caravans would be housed here.

The only thing I can think of is that they clearly state they can refuse entry to any adults without children on all of their booking sources and websites.

I'm guessing nobody outside their target market has been that bothered to challenge them in court. However inferring that any adult without a child is a troublemaker/predator/risk is poor form in my opinion. I couldn't see Disney, Universal, Merlin, etc.. getting with a similar policy without a huge media backlash.

That's my back of the fag packet legal analysis of it anyway.

Sorry to bump this thread, but according to Screamscape, the park is on track for a 2020 opening. They also say that the park will contain rides like a log flume, a rapids ride and a wooden roller coaster upon opening. The wooden roller coaster intrigues me, as I reckon this will be a family woodie due to Gullivers' target audience. Which would likely mean that either GCI or The Gravity Group is building it, and I can see Gulliver's going with a GG, similar in size to Roar-O-Saurus at Story Land. What do you guys think?

Assuming their entrace policy is the same as other Gulliver's parks then I couldn't care less about what they do or get, as I won't be able to go without stealing a child! :p

Depends if you fancy sending them an email in advance and then being escorted to the creds and then kicked out straight after...

Be perfect for us if this does open 2020/2021......My lad will be 6/7 by then.

The Warrington Park is actually really good and it's only 20 mins from us. There's loads to do and theres some quite thrilling rides too as well (relatively speaking). Definitely needs a good coat of paint in lots of places but we always enjoy our days there. Never bored.

The one at Gullivers World/Warrington was designed by a local consultant engineering firm and built in-house, I'd be very surprised if the new park gets a wooden coaster from a major manufacturer.

They have started drilling. But nothing much to see yet. I only live 5 minutes away so it will be interesting to see it develop.

Same here, one i will certainly be watching with interest when it starts going up

The wooden coaster is now on RCDB:

It says that it's expected to be a clone of Antelope at Gulliver's Warrington, but I still reckon they could surprise us with a GCI or GG coaster!
