Drayton Manor Park

Haunting does not have "actors", stop getting his hopes up! :p

It has a host who leads the group through the attraction. Not once have I ever seen anything close to an attempt at "acting". Unless they are acting being miserable, and they actually don't hate their life?

Buffalo is driven by a rack in the middle of the track and a toothed gear under the train, so it rattles a bit compared to a smooth tire driven Mack.

Thanks for the tips, guys! High ropes courses aren't really my kind of thing, so I probably won't do Vertigo, but I'll probably do some of the other things!

Also, the lack of actors in The Haunting actually reassures me somewhat, @DiogoJ42, as I don't particularly like things with scare actors in (e.g. DBGT and scare attractions).

There is 1 person I know who takes his role as Host on the haunting seriously and that’s Chris. (His mates with Shawn) his in this vlog

Anyway on Sunday I don’t know if they didn’t open it cause of the weather but the g force train was in the maintenance shed.

Good call. Maelstrom is fantastic, especially when it’s starting up. It’s very rerideable too. Apocalypse is superb, on both sit down and stand up, it’s a rather daunting ride in both appearance and experience. Storm force 10 is fantastic also, backwards drop is really fun, the ride is very much the ‘future generation’ of flumes, moving on from the old logs with small drops to larger boats which involve a lot more technology and thrills; think Valhalla. These three are absolutely incredible rides, the rest tend to be more like marmite.
The park has been increasingly pleasant over the past few years and is very clean, tidy and better maintained.
I’m very thankful to live right next to the place and I would definitely recommend it, just go when it’s more likely to be quiet, you’ll end up spending longer at the place than if there are queues :)

Thanks for all the tips, guys! I'm sure we'll have a great time! Out of interest, Apocalypse doesn't tilt as much as Falcon's Fury at Busch Gardens Tampa, does it? Only asking because I don't think my mum ever recovered from Falcon's Fury, so it might not be a good idea for her to do Apocalypse if it tilts.

Also, my parents aren't particularly into flat rides, so I may have to do Maelstrom and Air Race on my own or with my sister.

Furthermore, provided all goes well, should I get on more rides at Drayton in a day during the summer holidays than I got on at Thorpe during school trip season (2)?

Sorry to ask so many questions; I just want to make the most of Drayton as it's the first time I've visited in about 10 years.
