I'm not aware of larger B&M seats with only a single belt. Other manufacturers may vary.

I too am unaware of any B&M "larger guest" seats using only a single seatbelt, where seatbelts are used. The twin seatbelt arrangement makes is so the belts can avoid the front of the harness & go around the sides, thus giving that extra bit of space.

We were juggled on Tuesday into central seats on oblivion due to harness issues.
Both the seats only had one belt.
The two of us who got moved (the other a complete stranger) were both on the big side of big.
Two blokes had to do the walk of shame just before we were getting off, were removed and waited outside the gates, they got in our seats...
But only one belt?

Did Valkyria at Liseberg and a couple of the seats on that have red seat belts so I assume they are the big boy seats, but they only have the one seatbelt. However that’s brand new so things might have changed.

Interesting fact: When Oblivion was first built one of the cars had Big Boy XL seats, which were twice as wide as normal seats. It was a trial but only a handful of guests were big and juicy enough to fill them. This meant one car only carried 14 guests in the 1998 season.

Interesting fact! Also I believe that the original plans for Oblivion were for it to be the world's first log flume with a vertical drop. ;)

Was on park yesterday. Park was reasonably quiet.

I didn't get a pic, but our weathered named bricks looked loads better. I don't know if they had been cleaned or someone had filled in the writing with some gold and purple paint :)

First time I rode the rapids this season. Still no waterfalls. The turntable is now running on speed 2 (it can't operate at speed 1), so slower put through. I don't know why the slower speed as the new gates don't really ad any time to the loading. I wasn't allowed to stay on for a re-ride despite that there were very little queue when I returned into the station.

Overall, I had a great day on the park.

Does the turntable speed matter?
Surely the number of rafts is the main factor for throughput. If a raft arrives at the turntable every 60 seconds, it will leave the turntable every 60 seconds, regardless of how quickly the turntable moves. You can only get more throughput by rafts arriving more often.
If the up ramp started backing up (which it doesn't at AT), then it would be a factor.

I get what you are saying. But, having a faster turntable, means in any given hour more boats will have passed through the station as it is travelling slightly faster. Thus a higher throughput.

For example, say a boat took 5 minutes to complete a circuit and another 1 minute to pass through the station. That means a boat is passing any given point on the ride every 6 minutes.

If you sped the turntable up so that it took the boats 40 seconds to go through the station, that means a boat is passing any given point on the ride every 5 mins and 40 seconds. With the boats completing the total circuit slightly faster thanks to a faster turntable, that means more boats per hour which directly equals more people per hour.

If the turntable is sped up, boats will be dispatched faster and will thus arrive faster at the end, even though the main ride speed is the same.

Why does galactica have bigger queues at the moment. Is it running on reduced throughout?

Probably because everyone decided to ride Galatica all at the same time

It currently has one of the shortest waiting times

My grievance when I visited Thursday was Oblivion on one station running but with 4+ cars, meaning that you sat on the break run with 3 to 4 cars waiting in front of you while they unload and load one car at a time

The joys of mid week. Quite park but long sits on the brake run. Weekend park 2 station op less on the brake run but long queues.
You can’t win

Yup, tuesday just gone, longest wait of the day was to get off Oblivion.
Nice rest though, longest sit down of the day.
Could have done with two trains, one loading, one going round.

I'm going thursday 20th June. Yes it's a weekday so should be quieter but do school trips start at this time?

It’s not ‘peak’ school trip time, but there will still be a few I imagine. Plus university students will have finished by then making things a bit busier than midweek in say March or May.

How long would you say the queues will be?
