Oh boy that doesn't sound good. Whats the matter with it? And whys the smiler been down aswell?

Nemesis reopened this afternoon.

Due to the downtime tickets for today are valid for a free return before end of September.

I searched AT on twitter earlier and saw someone ask if it’s true that the Nemesis loop is being removed and added to The Smiler.

Made me smile to say the least.
That would make for an interesting ride! It would also give Merlin the world's first of "world's first coaster to switch between a sit-down coaster and an inverted coaster"!

I have to object. A good old fashioned vertical loop is the classic inversion. Nothing beats it for me.
fair enough. Everyone has different opinions. Just like I think the smiler is better than nemmy. Apologise on behalf of all enthusiasts that adore the ride. Someone happily tell me what is so extraordinary about the ride which makes it the 'parks best'

For me it’s a mix of childhood nostalgia and that it has all the near miss elements. When I first visited AT it was either Corkscrew (whiplash) Nemesis or Oblivion in terms of the big coasters. Plus I still to this day love the feeling of being whipped past that helix. It just has a special place for me.

3G sounds about right for positives, but I wouldn't imagine negatives are overly high. Actually, I'd imagine a potential force of -0.5G to -1G on the hill after the unbanked u-turn, but I'd say that's the only major moment of negative force on the ride. Even though Wicker Man is my favourite UK wooden coaster, the likes of Megafobia, Grand National and to a lesser extent Big Dipper have considerably more airtime, in my opinion.
