TS North: Saturday. 24th August 2019 - click to RSVP!

We return for a fun packed day in and around Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Saturday, 24th August for our annual TS North meet! This is always a highlight of the calendar, as many of our meet-up participants stay over in a local B&B. During the day, we guarantee we'll hit lots of rides, grab several cold beers and due to the long opening hours of the park, it's likely we'll spend some time during the afternoon on the terrace overlooking the sea at the Velvet Coaster pub next door to the park.

If you plan to join us, you may wish to consider staying over due to the late closing time of the park. Please see booking.com for B&B's located within walking distance. Prices are very reasonable. At the time of posting however, chain hotels (Travelodge, Ibis etc.) are extremely expensive - so we recommend checking out private B&B's. Always check the rating and/or reviews first as standards can vary.

The plan of action is as follows:

9.45am - Meet outside the main entrance (by Noah's Ark)

Park hours are 10.00am - 10.00pm with a fireworks display in the evening.

Need a wristband?: Planet Radio are offering half price wristbands (£19.50) a £5.50 saving on the current advance rate on the BPB website.

We look forward to seeing you there! RSVP in the link above!

Looked at hotels a few weeks back. Been a massive increase in prices this year.
So no no for me.

Has there? I am paying £60 for 2 nights based on 2 sharing. And there were others that were less. Hardly daylight robbery on a bank holiday weekend.

I only stay in Prem inn. Only cos you can generally guarantee it’s not going to be a doss hole :(
Can’t take the risk of booking something else.
Travelodge came out at the same price too.

Bloody Travelodge
!
:tearsofjoy:
How they want £315 for 2 night tho is beyond me.
Hope they go bust

Well if you are picky then unfortunately you miss out. Or you book further in advance. Or you just come for the day.

:)

Will look at booking a room once payday rolls around! Need to finally ride Icon. ;)

Might be worth having a look on booking.com now as there are some (not many mind!) which are pay on arrival.

It's LiveWire Festival this weekend, so coupled with the bank holiday that's why the room availability and prices are higher than usual. Many are operating a two night minimum too, so worth looking at the Friday and Saturday night if you can make it.

Thanks Craig, I’ll have a look!

I really should try and make an effort to get there, especially given I haven’t visited since Icon has been built.

However, if I do come it’ll likely be a day trip, given accommodation prices.

We shall see...

We are booked into a guesthouse for Friday and Saturday nights, Pleasure Beach wristbands already been delivered (Thanks Tesco Clubcard) and most importantly.... childcare organised!

I have booked The Canberra Hotel and will be staying with Kaycee on Friday and Saturday evening.

I plan to take the train.
