I think @spinba11 is referring to Dragon's Fury rather than Tiger Rock?
I don't know the details but from what @Benzin wrote, it sounds like the cars overspeed through the brake sections. This causes a fault and trips the ride, hence the reduced capacity (max 3 adults) to reduce the speed of the cars and prevent the fault occurring.

That's what I'm lead to believe is the case, and it's not surprising given how 8 car operations ran...
It's unfortunate that the design was flawed...

It’s the kind of thing when you buy the ride you would complain and get the manufacture to make a fix so it doesn’t fault and you can run it at full capacity. I imagine they probably just took a cash refund

It's just such a shame how Chessington has fallen so low. I'm surprised Merlin won't just sell off the land to make a quick massive buck. With some excuse that it needs massive renovation and investment.

Problem is I'm not sure how they could've fixed it... Trims like with Thirteen's issues probably would've caused more stalls, and redesigning it would've cost money and may not have gone through planning permission...

Depends if the overspeed is confined to a single block or across multiple blocks. I'd assume you could have a trim immediately before the brake block, and if the car is travelling too quickly then you need to scrub a bit of speed off before it actually enters the brakes.

Sweet story... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-sussex-48337692
Oh been there, done that on a smaller scale.
One of the kids I used to look after had a bonus day off school due to a power outage.
He got to go to the local fair, and showed off a bit at teatime.
After a few hours, I said that school had phoned, and they had to go in on Saturday, to catch up for GCSE's... but because it was weekend, he had to go by public transport (school taxi usually because it was many miles away).
He took the news on the chin.
Come Saturday, I offered to run him to school (full uniform of course) as I was taking three other kids on a reward outing to Camelot...close to his school. Again he was fine with it and thanked me for the lift.
Oh the look on his face as we drove past his school with all the other kids cheering.
Even took him a change of clothes.
God bless our Alex.

And it wasn't even designed by MMM with its own media launch event, and a band of grown men come to vlog about how "It's fantastic to see Merlin trying new ideas... have I got me free tickets yet?"

Anyone know what’s up with Rameses Revenge? Looks like it’s been closed for a few days now - I always get worried when that closes as I think Chessington may not bother to get it repaired and just close it.
Oh no! I always look forward to going on and would be very sad to see it go....it is pretty old these days and could do with replacing.
It's a great ride and just as fun to watch as it is to go on - it's always great seeing families stood watching the pit transfixed by the ride

It’s getting replaced with a park swing and a seesaw.

It was closed when I went about a month ago. Has it since been working and then SBNO again or has it been SBNO for at least that long?Anyone know what’s up with Rameses Revenge?
