New Stafford/Uttoxeter/Alton Towers bus service timetable:

That's fantastic! Typo though. Must leave Stafford station at 9.25 not 8.25.

Iirc D&G bus use ticketer machines enabling them to accept barcoded tickets, so it's plausible in the future to buy a park admission and bus ticket from towers!
(NottsDerby who run the X52 also use ticketer).

Nah it actually takes an hour and 5 minutes ;) In all seriousness this is great to see! The bus from Stafford only gets in about 15 mins later than the old 32A if I'm right? If it runs all season I'll consider getting an ATAP again.

So I'm going to towers on wednesday with a friend and we plan on taking the x52 from the derby bus station. I was wondering if I can use my b-line to get a discount for a return

Jesus they still have b line cards? I left school in 2004 and remember them. Used to get a bargain from Derby to Nottingham on the red arrow. Off topic sorry

Looks like another new bus service is on the way. Sheffield/Chesterfield/Bakewell to Alton Towers.

Wow, a bus that will go from Sheffield to Towers?! Now that's fantastic! Hopefully the times will be adequate though.

That's a long journey, 1hr50 in the car. Here's hoping it's successful!

I drive from South Sheffield via Baslow, Bakewell, Monyash, Hartington, past Peak Wildlife Centre and down to Towers

I imagine the bus will run Interchange, Totley, Owler Bar, Baslow, Bakewell, Ashbourne, Towers. Be about 1 hr 45 to 2 hrs

I'm wondering if folks from Sheffield would be quicker taking the train to Chesterfield and boarding there, it's only 10 minutes by train.

There is a bus that runs from Leeds to Scarborough via Flamingo Land but if my memory is correct, it's quicker to take the train to Malton, wait 40 minutes and catch the same bus for the final leg than it is to take the bus all the way.

Depends which is more important, time or money.
