I weirdly found that Hotel Matamba had the opposite issue, it looked great from the outside and the lobby is nice. but the bare concrete floor (mud-themed) in the room was just not nice. I'd rather have nice lightly-themed and very practical rooms and a well-themed communal area.
 
Also strong winds yesterday blew open the tarpaulins over the hotel entrance doorway giving a glimpse inside of the hotel rooms and coaster interaction.

Orange - The infamous rusty entrance portal
Yellow - The connecting pathways/bridges for hotel guests.
Green - Lobby/reception with Hotel Room Tower 3 on top.
Purple - The other 4 hotel room tower blocks.

The curved end of Tower 4 is the roof top viewing platform, as seen the Rookburgh trailer released a couple of months back - directly beside the coaster's 2 launches.

Underneath Tower 1 & 2 is expected to be Bar 1919, and beside them the Uhrwerk restaurant.

It will certainly be interesting to see how it all comes together and what the very unusual hotel experience will be like. The prices should also be interesting...
Description of the rooms from the Rookburgh Gazette the park released back in November:
"Because even the rooms, oh no, room is hardly the right word here ... the cabins are an experience like no other. Like in a submarine, a train or even a zeppelin, they are amazing places. It houses everything that is necessary and pleasant for an enjoyable trip: two beds, a private bathroom, a practical closet, even a table console and much more. Here the builders have utilised every small corner. And with the design so typical of Rookburgh, they created a wonderful spatial experience. Full of warm wood and leather, elegant brass and metal - and with a character that I have never experienced anywhere else! Or have you ever stayed in the private cabin of a real aeronaut?

My cabin actually belongs to a Lieutenant Meyerhopper - and his personality was felt throughout the room! I know it's no where near finished but I have to say I think this hotel and area look absolutely s&!+@. Even from the concepts I think it looks dull and messy.

I get it's steampunk and industrial, but areas such as Disneyland's Discoveryland show how beautiful the theme can be presented, but I just think this looks awful. It's not an area of a park that interests me and from looks alone I wouldn't want to stay in the hotel.
 
Construction is underway in the Hotel Matamba garden in front of the loop bridge for presumably at last a direct to park entrance. Perhaps now with Hotel Charles Lindbergh also having park access they didn't want to leave it as the only hotel without.

In Rookburgh 2 Zeppelin bodies have been delivered and lifted into the site. Its been speculated that as shown in some of the teaser artwork once they are finished they might be mounted/suspended somewhere in the area to give the effect of being moored/hovering overhead.

I have flights and 2 nights at Hotel Matamba booked for 27th-28th April. I held off booking any park tickets for what would/will be my first time visit to the park. I will be surprised if the park does open by then but will remain hopeful. Need something to look forward to in all the doom and gloom!

I would hazard a guess the flights will be grounded and the park will still be closed
