Maybe not you but I've seen plenty of allistic's react pretty badly because they don't know what's going to happen.

I don't really see the point in segregating 'autistics' like this - huge swathes of people not diagnosed as 'autistics' are equally troubled by the uncertainty of, well, everything at the moment, the lack of any solid plans, any certainty. It's affecting everyone.

That's my point.
Literally everyone is struggling.

No there isn’t, not even close. These are registered deaths and most were weeks ago.

What we are basically doing is still crashing the economy to protect old and sick people, the same people who mostly from my experience are breaking the bloody lockdown themselves.
It’s time to end this free holiday on the government now, hopefully Boris will give his head a shake and see some sense.
What a stupid take. What evidence do you have that it's mainly "old and sick people" breaking the lockdown? The whole point of a government and society is to protect the old and sick who either have worked most of their lives or are physically unable to. Not to mention the fact young people are dying too. Bus drivers, doctors, nurses are dying despite the lockdown. Get a grip.

According to tonight's press briefing, lockdown has been extended for another 3 weeks, with only modest changes on Sunday. Apparently gyms and other lesuire facilities will open in October. I guess that would also include theme parks.......

I hate all this,
they never had any intension of "reviewing" anything from the very start,
they were intent on keeping us locked up for 12 weeks from the very beginning, no matter what

There's no proof of that whatsoever. The last thing a, especially Conservative, Government would want to do would be cripple their own economy by closing for any longer than necessary. I highly doubt they wanted any weeks of closure, let alone 12.

Evidence? Have you been out to a supermarket? Look at the grey rinse in there.
My mother in law is 85 and goes for daily tea with her friends, she doesn’t care, neighbours are a retired nurse and copper, they have 4-5 visitors a day inside the house including their offspring, both are able bodied and still go out.

Less than 300 under 45 have died and nearly all of them had serious heath issues.
But let’s crash the economy even more and put 5 million plus out of work.
The lives of the living are important as well.

but the furlough scheme is 12 weeks long
Self employed pay kicks in after 12 weeks in June

they knew... they knew!

12 week lockdown

I have many many OAP customers I visit, I can say they dont care about the gov trying to keep them safe, they carry on as normal as they can

Really? I'd expect this to be headline news if it was true, but no obvious mention of it in the news outlets I've just checked...

It'd be great to avoid spreading false news amongst what should be a friendly community of people.
On a technicality it's been extended for 3 weeks with changes due to be made Sundayish

For a start, you're wrong, 332 people under 45 have died from it - I'm looking at the same Daily Mail article you probably read.

Just stop with the mindset that the elderly and sick don't matter, that we should sacrifice them just so we can go to the pub. This country is run by the Conservatives who are very much pro-economy. After the herd immunity comments Johnson quickly realised that killing people for the sake of the economy is not a good look. Johnson is not keeping the country locked down for nothing, he'll be keeping it locked down because if we reopen now death rates will soar.

And what's one sure fire way to ensure businesses fail?
Kill their customers.

That's why even the Tory's are taking action even if it might be the wrong action.

Indeed, my feeling is Johnson is smart enough to understand this whereas Trump isn't.

I'd assume parks would fall into the same category as pubs and restaurants, which are being listed under end of August/start of September. They shut at the same time as bars and restaurants, and it is also worth noting that football stadiums could allow fans again in October under this plan, so I'd presume that parks might potentially come sooner than this. We'll have to wait and see...

Question is when did parks get forced to shut? They shut before they legally had to didn't they.

They were still opening after mass gatherings were banned, so I think they were forced to shut alongside pubs and restaurants.

Any parks that open will find the only people who turn up are die hard geeks.
Who will leave and never return when they see how oppressive their escapist hobby has become.
Said parks will then close within a week, never to reopen.
