Best restraints at towers

Restraints! They are so important when it comes to comfort and therefore enjoyability on a ride. I do feel tho that towers certainly have some better than others, so here's what I think:
1. Nemesis- By far the best and most comfortable restraint out of the main coasters.
2. Oblivion- similar but not quite as much room
3. Wicker man- very good lap bar with a decent amount of room.
4. The smiler- I used to have an issue with these restraints as they pushed into your legs the further round the ride you go. However, recent rides have been better and I haven't really noticed it tbf.
5. Th13teen- Not much leg room along with this being a fairly tight lap bar doesn't make it the most comfortable.
6. Rita- I find it quite restrictive personally and it's another one that pushes into your legs
7. Galactica- the only one on this list I genuinely dislike and have a problem with as such. I really don't like flying coaster restraints as they're very tight and restrictive, making the ride sometimes uncomfortable. Sometimes it doesn't seem bad and others I just generally want to get off to get the big, bulky restraints off me.

I think Galactia's restraints are my favourite for the exact reason they are your least.
I LOVE how they spread pressure fairly evenly over the body, a feeling that's hard to replicate, only downside is I end up getting my hair caught in them sometimes.

Do past rides count? I always found the Black Hole's restraints a lot of fun, particularly when you were chucked in to them violently in the break run...

I also really don't mind the restraints on Air, they are actually not too uncomfortable, well padded, sometimes the restraints are pushed down a little too snug for my liking but once you're flying, it's not an issue.

Don't like being in them when you're waiting to get back into the station though, sometimes it feels like an unnecessarily long time.

Always remember thinking more was needed on the log flume. Two people in each flume, the person sitting right behind the front person (me) had no one else to lean on, the back rest was miles away, and one drop in particular it was literally a case of brace yourself, grab hold of the bars and thrust your feet into the side of the flume. Genuinely thought I was going overboard the first time I was on it with two people. But better than being in the front where your feet get soaked. :p

I loved the restraints on the Flume, the best ever, you won't ever see restraints like them again on any new rides today due to H&S o_O

Yes, well I can's swim... so that was pretty much all that was going through my mind on that ride... :D

Has anyone tried tweeting about them mentioning h&s?
HSE appear more then happy to call out companies pulling the h&s excuse when they shouldn't.

For what reason exactly? Don't forget, every ride has to be independently certified every year and receive a DOC, or Declaration of Operational Compliance, without which the ride cannot legally be operated. These wouldn't be issued if anything about the ride is deemed unsafe, especially something as fundamental as passenger containment.

Exactly if it gets a doc it's safe.
My point is the HSE will point out when companies are lying about h&s to avoid stuff.

Enterprise has the best restraints of any ride at the park, followed by Blade

I really like Nemesis for reasons exactly in first post. Same I enjoy Oblivion. Personally I try and keep them as loose as possible, really push out the chest, so that there is some freedom in the seat to enjoy airtime and whatnot.
I dislike Air/Galactica but only because I feel a little spreadeagled in them, I’m a big broad fella but feel like it’s really spreading my legs and arms far apart and don’t like that sensation. Although I love how they feel on the ride - but nauseous on the brake run.

Rita’s are a little too restrictive for me. As are thirteen, again I’m a a big broad fella 6 foot plus. So they’re not exactly ways comfortable.

However I do think comparatively Towers restraints are comfortable even comparing to EP or Disney and especially other little parks.

I think Thirteen has quite nice comfortable restraints. I’ve always quite liked Nemesis’ and Oblivion’s as far as OTSRs go, as well. Also never had an issue with Wicker Man’s or Galactica’s, either.

The only ones I’m not a great fan of are Rita’s and Smiler’s, out of the big 7. I find the Rita OTSRs feel quite bulky and restrictive, and I find that Smiler’s OTSRs are mounted very low down and rest rather lowly on my shoulders, as well as being somewhat uncomfortable around a... more personal area, shall we say. I find other Gerstlauer OTSRs like Saw’s the same, so maybe it’s just a thing with Gerstlauer’s OTSRs? I seem to remember them being more comfortable when I was younger and shorter, so maybe it’s a height thing?

For reference, I’m not exactly tall at only 5’9”.

Nemesis and Oblivion, cant go wrong the traditional ratcheting B&M restraints as they are good for leaving a nice gap.

The absolute worst are The Smilers with how they progressively crush your thighs throughout the ride. I will make sure there is a fist sized gap underneath and keep them there for the duration.

That's probably not the best idea as it'll just crush your fist instead
