Thanks AT86 I could only get through to the main booking page online without applying the AP discount. I've saved the links and added to favourites for future reference.

Still no Splash Landings open for fireworks this year?

No worries.

Splash seems to be open on the Friday and Saturday, but closed on the Sunday which does tend to be quieter for people staying over since the park is shut on the Mon.

If demand increases they may chose to open it though.

Are MAP reservations for the park itself available for Fireworks weekend yet, out of interest?

Also, does anyone know how I could get in contact with Merlin’s Annual Pass team, as my Premium Pass came with Fastrack vouchers that I can’t use because the parks aren’t offering Fastrack, and I was only wondering whether these would be extended?

No MAP reservations yet for fireworks.
Would expect the Fastrack voucher to be extended like the pass itself. Email them via this form https://support.merlinannualpass.co.uk/hc/en-us/requests/new

Thanks @ringo; I’m guessing I’ll have to wait until closer to the time to reserve those tickets.

I did try contacting the Merlin Annual Pass team via Facebook Messenger a week or two ago, but they haven’t responded yet. I’ll see whether they respond if I email them? I suppose I am being a little impatient, however, as I only messaged them a week or two ago; maybe I should give them a few more weeks?

Visiting on Saturday - with the restrictions in place what's the best order to do the coasters at the moment? I'd usually do Forbidden Valley first but thinking maybe Dark Forest would be a smarter move.

Saturday's seem to be a bit chaotic at the moment so hopefully it's not too bad.

We're doing 2 1/2 days mid August. Expecting the park to be busy and the plan for each day is 13 first then Rita, Nemesis a couple of times, we don't bother with Galactica. Then just do the others at our leisure.

We're traveling from N.Ireland and we know it won't be the usual experience at the park but we just need to get away. It's better than nothing lol.

Had a decent few hours at the end of the day today. Was there 3-6 and got on wicker man, smiler and Nemesis 3 times! 5 rides in 3 hours with the current queues is pretty good id say. That being said I didn't actually queue for nemmy because as usual it was walk on

How long did you wait for The Smiler and Wicker Man?

Would definitely say the queue times are inflated, All the coasters we waited nearly half the advertised times, 45 wickerman, walk on nemmy, 15 min spinball, 15 min oblivion & 50 mins th13teen. Didn't bother with Rita or Smiler as they both aren't my favourites, spent most the rest of the day enjoying the atmosphere and Gardens

Ye wicker man was advertised 90 and I waited 45, smiler advertised 100 I waited 60

See if i saw Wicker Man at 90 minutes on Friday it would put me off queueing but knowing it could be 45 would encourage me to queue up for it. I'll be keeping a note of the advertised times and how long we wait for sure.

If found from my 3 visits that if it is about half way into the extended queue its about a 60 mins, and around 40 min from the main entrance.

I've just realised something, with social distancing could the ble based automatic system be getting confused?
Ye it's exactly that. It's not taking into account social distancing so therefore the queue will be advertised as longer. That being said there wasn't much social distancing in the smiler queue but it was still only an hour from the entrance, that's pretty good operations imo

For the benefit of my fellow technophobes:

BLE = Bluetooth low energy

Whatever that is.
In short black box that shouts out THIS IS MY ID every few seconds, the park app (I believe THORPE use the same system) listens to the shouts, sends to the server which makes a guess.

Ah makes sense! So basically, ignore queue times for now?

It does seem to vary substantially - on opening day the actual queue times that I experienced (all 3 of them) were at least as long as the stated queue times. WM took about an hour from the entrance, though it seems that they now have more people on each train so hopefully it won't be that bad as long as people keep apart in the queue line.
