Scarefest 2020

The courtyard looks set to be used for Oktoberfest, in which case Darkest Depths would have to be relocated, Dark Forest seems as good a place as any.
Yeah construction has been spotted in Dark Forest for Darkest Depths.

I imagine the budget for Scarefest is minimal this year, I guess darkest depths will feel a little different as it will be more of a straight route rather than the square courtyard. It looks like it might be longer, or you’ll have a long walk round the back of the outlets to get to the exit.

toxic junkyard, looks like it’s name. Basically a load of carnival, freak show and welcoming theming chucked together and painted in bright colours.

I can’t see there being many changes on the other mazes, I guess except for social distancing which may change the routes or layouts slightly.

Could mean that someone could be slimed then, like they did during the Freak Show scare zone opening show. We'll wait and see though.
I'm not sure that refilling a gunge tank per group is really a viable option...
And even then, assuming they use an actor, they have to get him offstage without guests noticing, then they will have to cycle in another actor while the first one is getting cleaned, probably swap out his clothes while THEY are also cleaned...
While its not impossible, it would simply not be worth the effort\cost.

And if they go the dragged away screaming route, they will also have to clean up all the gunge every run so the actors don't slip!

Had another look yesterday at junk yard, looks like the entrance will certainly be near to Spinball with the exit next to goal striker. Or of course vice versa.

They have steered to build on the other side of the goal striker now (where scary tales finale was). So it looks like it will go round both sides of the goal striker, but I don’t think it will be going inside.

Does it look like it will be of relatively decent length?

It’s hard to tell really, there seems to be so much going on, and like the name a lot of junk! I think it should be good enough, they managed to fit a maze in the sub terra building which is small enough, and this area looks bigger than that.

I think darkest depths may also be longer due to the longer route.

Noticed all of the 3pm slots have gone on the date I'm visiting, I booked in for 3pm the other week when times were 3-6, so I hope they don't now decide they want to open them at 1 again as I might be queuing for longer than planned! My trick has been the first slot so there's no wait so I hope they don't decide to revert back now!

They probably will, considering that they have already extended the three maze ticket until 7:30p.m. from 6p.m. I feel the shorter opening times were only there to see if enough bookings were made to actually extend the opening times to their normal rates. We'll have to see though, hopefully everyone's happy!

The afternoon slots are always free, so I guess by releasing them like That they are hoping to sell a load of these slots first and then on to the later slots.

I'm sure it will be a lot different when actually experiencing the attraction, but damn, that does not sell the maze at all for me.
