Yes, I go on everytime thinking "please, please don't be rough/cause me headbanging" but it just seems to. Hopefully that won't be the case tomorrow.

Sometimes rides just have an unusually severe impact on individuals. For instance for some reason Dragon Khan at PA always gives me a cracking headache. No other B&M does that and everyone I have gone on DK with has come off feeling fine. For some reason the ride and me just don’t get on.

Nemesis might be the same for you.

I’ve never had a rough experience on nemesis, it’s always been my favourite at towers. Granted it is aggressive and maybe a tad jolty on sections, like when exiting the zero G roll, but overall I just get my head forward and enjoy. Had 10 rides on it Wednesday just lapping it and no headache. the smiler on the other hand is one I don’t get on with! I find it very uncomfortable and I hate the restraints. But it’s all personal preference and everyone has different tolerances.

Yeah, it's weird, i like the Smiler restraints personally, they sit well on my body so never bang my head on them, whereas the nemeis restraints - as bulky as they are - sit just inches away from my ears and i've been clobbered by them on numerous occassions. Horses for course as you say.

Still love Nemesis though, and ride it everytime i go, with head as far forward as possible.

Ye I've noticed that this year. Never noticed it before but it certainly does whip you out the element. I personally think the jolt on that is worse than any part on the smiler this year. Maybe that's because I've only just noticed so maybe I've focused on it

Ok so yesterday I had one ride on Nemesis - and if every ride was like that one, it would be one of my firm favourites. It was excellent - so intense yet smooth this time! I could feel myself nearly blacking out on it which has never happened on anything before! We were on the back row because we had RAP - I still have to say its not consistent enough for it to be higher up in my ranking but if it were to continue that way I could see no longer being my least favourite at Towers, but I'll have to see what 2021 holds in order to make a concrete judgment.

I always find the second corkscrew a bit jolty as well. I’ve always personally found Smiler worse, however.

I’d say the smiler is more of a rattle with jolts on certain inversions, which seems a trend with gerstlauer coasters, Nemesis does not have a rattle in my opinion and has that feel of quality that B&M’s provide despite it ageing considerably now. The smiler feels like it’s been profiled on RCT sometimes... I’m sure there are certain trains with square wheels and you can have a completely different experience from one ride to the next.

That's true some trains are certainly worse than others. I've had some smooth rides and some rough. Not particularly consistent must say

Tbf I think that Vampire at Chessy will be gone before Nemmy leaves us. Slightly older and a little bit more complex.

I’m just expecting it to be retracted one day in the future. The pit was specifically designed for the ride layout I’m sure, so I’d imagine it would be hard to utilise it with another ride system now. I couldn’t imagine anything else but nemesis in that pit.

The disappointment when you save Nemesis for later because it’s your favourite and then it closes with engineers working on the break run and empty train on the lift hill :(

Oh dear! Hope it’s just a niggle and it’s open to night rides for you. It was incredible the last two nights. You forget how intense it can be after 9 or 10 hours of warming up.
