So, with the 2020 season prematurely ended, it's probably time we think ahead to next season. A couple of points to get us started:

- Do we think the Garden's-only days will return?
- Do we think Gangsta Granny + the rest of the new area will open from the start or later?

It's hard to know whether garden only opening was economically viable. I imagine it was so should return.

If all the lighting remains in situ I'd like to see any opening times over winter to stretch into darkness, which isn't too late anyway.

I'd anticipate GG opening with the main park with a little fanfare to help spread the word to the masses that the park is open.

Wonder where they got this design from as it's not a Towers coaster? :p

Ahh thank you! Am a bit rusty on past rides and attractions, partly because I'm too young to have experienced most of them :)
That's fair enough, I never got to ride Towers' Corkscrew either. :)
Did ride Mingo's version though, when I was much younger.

Yeah I rode Mingo's version when I was a lot younger, and becase I was small my head kept bashing against the restraint. I remember coming off with a headache.
I rode it in its last year when I was 7. Wasn't enjoyable and fair to say the quality of coasters in the park is far better these days, despite it being a classic

Is it? Corkscrew was rubbish but would still be a top end coaster at Flamingo Land. The standard there is extremely low.

Towers has obviously moved on quite a bit, although they might have considered a full retrack (like Python) had it lasted a bit longer.

I disagree. The new 10 looper looks quality and kumali, mumbo jumbo and velocity are all solid rides

Velocity is awful.
Kumali is an SLC.
Mumbo Jumbo inoffensive I guess. Terrible throughput though.

Each to their own though.

velocity is a steady coaster imo, fun for the family. But I’ll agree with Kumali (but I’m really not an SLC fan no matter the layout). But apart from that they have some tosh such as hero. They aren’t in the same league as towers on many levels, they don’t look at capacity like towers does, they don’t looks towards theming their new additions to a high level like towers, they also have some bad reports of staggered openings and early closes. I’d love to see the new 10 inversion be a big hit, but it will go down to marketing.. and BPB shown how unsuccessful that can be with icon. As far as corkscrew goes, it would be completely out of place in all merlin parks without a re-track, new theming and paint job. Even then The ride experience would be lacking in comparison to the others with a retracking.

Kumali is one of the better SLC's and doesn't have the issues that the other ones have, but that's a convo for the Mingo topic, not this one. ;)
sounds off-topic siren
