Kentucky Kingdom: General Discussion

It's all been confirmed today with the park operations now being ran by Herchend.

Gutted I didn't visit in 2019 as we couldn't add it to the trip and now the 2021 visit has been delayed to 2022 so hopefully can see some of their initial improvements first hand.

Hopefully they'll retain the current social media team

Well they've deleted a Tweet replying to the Silver Dollar City account last night, so maybe they have all been sacked...!!

Silver Dollar's reply remains though, cinnamon bread themed RMC Raptor confirmed!

Kentucky Kingdom is getting the famous cinnamon bread following its acquisition by Herschend:

I know cinnamon bread has a lot of fans, so it should hopefully be something for you to look forward to on your next visit to Kentucky Kingdom!

The park have sent out an email confirming T3 is no more.

Would have been nice to see the newer trains on it to extend its life a bit, but ah well.

That email is clearly lying. T3 is not beloved. 😛

The KumbaK trains weren't that old, they were only added in 2015/16. They were dire but I'm not entirely convinced the latest Vekoma trains would have helped much - I don't think I've seen anyone say they've significantly improved Condor.

The Kumbak train doesn't make it smoother but it does redirect the assault to different parts of your body.

Rode it last summer, the restraints were awful. Got tighter and tighter as the ride went round. Felt like it was cutting off circulation to my legs.

Bit of a weird few years for Kentucky Kingdom since they reopened they'd been adding rides with a consistent basis. Since they were acquired by Herschend all I know of is they added a fantastic cinnamon bread shop.
