Drayton Manor Park

Looks like the Wave Swinger has only soft-opened, and will officially open with the rapids once that is ready.

Sorry for the double post. Looks like the park could be hinting at the rapids opening.

I really hope so! These rapids are really important for the area and Drayton as a whole. What I really can't wait to know is how many effects they have decided to use. This is important as this means that the other rapids rides in the UK, if they buy these new boats, can add there effects back in.

So that video all be confirms wave machines are off.

Also, why does the woman in the announcement sound like a receptionist at a hospital. (Theme Hospital anyone).

Water features.

Promising.

the hosepipe pointing at the ride is my least favourite rapids feature.
Personally, it gives me flashbacks to the rapids at Busch Gardens Tampa; there was one right at the end of the ride, and up to that point, I was actually fairly OK (fairly wet, but certainly not soaked by any means).

As we were reaching the end of the ride, however, this massive hosepipe came out of nowhere and absolutely drenched me and my sister! It was only us who got soaked by this giant hosepipe, and my parents, along with everyone else on the boat, were laughing at us…

Oh you've reminded me of some great memories with the family on Congo River Rapids at Alton. The whole family would be on and we'd all have a good laugh at however got soaked by the waterfalls it was always a good laugh.

I never remember the waterfalls at AT being that bad, but then it wasn’t normally me that got soaked!

I do recall a waterfall in a cave at BGT though absolutely soaking a mother in another group on our boat!

Yeah they were never that powerful but it was a great wind up once you turned the corner and the boat span always great fun.
