More on the TTD incident, it was caused by a part of the train striking the track and being thrown off into the queue, the head injury is serious and the ride will remain closed until next year.
I'm quite surprised we've not seen closure of accelerators after this while it is investigated, unless this sensor ser up is unique to TTD for some reason.

One person has been critically injured and two others seriously hurt after an incident at a fairground ride during a festival in Cumbria.
It happened at Fudstock, which was being held at Cavendish Park, Barrow, on Saturday at around 20:30 BST.

The waltzer link seems to be base don one of the early articles that said the fair featured a waltzer and nothing else. The scumbag Sun and now Mail appear to have implied it is a waltzer based on that alone.
I've seen more people refer to a twist/sizzler than a waltzer, but I guess we will have to wait to find out.

Confirmed, it is a sizzler/scrambler/twist.
Sounds like two people ejected striking someone off ride who is the person seriously hurt.

Istanbul - teenager choles to death on her own vomit while riding a pendulum ride. She's seen wearing a face mask immediately before the ride started, I wonder if that contributed?

That's actually one of the reasons I was unsure about face masks on rides when the Idea was first mentioned last year.Istanbul - teenager choles to death on her own vomit while riding a pendulum ride. She's seen wearing a face mask immediately before the ride started, I wonder if that contributed?

Realistically the number of people vomiting mid-ride is very low and many of them would try to hold it in their mouth anyway even without a mask, as they don't want to get sick down their clothes.
This is an unfortunate accident and yes the mask may not have helped, but its not impossible that it would have happened without it.

Oh, absolutely. It could have contributed, but no way it caused it.

Delaware- 3 teens injured in air tank explosion at Funland. Occurred in vicinity of Superflip 360, an SBF Visa Dance Party. not clear if the air tank in question is attached to the running of the ride, are those things air propelled? I didn't think so.

ET 2019 incident which was described as minor at the time now appears to be less minor, with a significant lawsuit trundling through the courts. That the ride reopened the next day suggests it was functioning as intended at the time, and with the park contesting I expect they'll be arguing user error.
