Can anyone comment on the rumours that the bench will be closing for a full retrack during the 2022 season?

Hopefully they will erect a temporary beanbag to reduce the capacity issues this might cause.

Rumours are circulating that it will be converted to a hybrid wooden/steel bench. Smoother on the bum but with less character.

there have of course been sightings of actors wearing bench sub-terra uniforms, suggesting the indoor drop-bench could be reopening

Was told this morning by a ride-op 'friend' that it was going to be closed after this season and used for spare slats for a sister bench at Thorpe. Not sure how true that is though?!
