Nemesis: Sub-Terra

Yeah, at towers usually all the lighting will go to white/house lights on. Music and sound effects will stop, and a pre recorded message will play. And anything else which happens will stop, like effects and stuff.

I’ve had a few in my time at towers including The Sanctuary and Welcoming

I’ve got a potential update on Sub-Terra following my recent visit.

Were these metal fences with signs on them always in the queue? They certainly look new, and if they were there before, I certainly didn’t remember them:

Apologies for the poor quality of the picture (this was taken very quickly while I was walking), but if these are new, could this indicate that something is happening with Sub-Terra’s area?

For clarity, the signs say “QUARANTINE RESTRICTED AREA” and have Phalanx logos on them, if anyone is struggling to read them from my photo.

Yep those signs have been there since the start of the season, after removing most of the project 42 maze they just left the signs up and now they've been there for a while now.

More has happened with Sub Terra according to TowersTimes:

The lights were turned on in the former pre-show area this morning, and an alarm was being sounded every few seconds.

I wonder what could be happening? Is it Scarefest prep, or could it be something more?
EDIT: Sorry, folks… I keep forgetting Facebook posts don’t embed anymore.

Very hot weather.
Tiny mites set alarms off, very often.
Done half a dozen over the hot days.
Someone has to go in and turn them off.

Alarms were testing over at Altonville Mine Tours as well earlier today, along with alarms in the Sub Terra building. Therefore, I'd assume it's Scarefest related, but I'd really like the ride to re-open next year.
Yeah I'd prefer it to open next year too, in time for Nemmy's closure. A compromise would be it being open for Scarefest and then opening for the whole of next season. Would have to be included in admission though, but the throughput won't be great if it's a maze (and would Towers really want to open another year-round, staff-heavy attraction?).

How are we jumping to the conclusion that alarms in a building = something out of the ordinary or preparatory is happening? Even if entirely SBNO, Sub Terra is still a building on the site, which still needs maintaining and monitoring. It'll still have an active fire alarm etc...

Considering it seems all alarms have been testing at scare maze sites, it's not unreasonable to assume Sub Terra will be a scare maze site this year

Has it even been confirmed by Towers [management] that Nemesis is closing next season? It's highly likely of course, what with the time it will take and to coincide with its 30th anniversary in 2024, however as far as I know this is all still speculation? Or have I missed something?
Nah it's not been confirmed yet, still speculation. I have a feeling that they will want to get it back open in time for the 30th anniversary in 2024, but of course we don't know how long the re-track will take.

This thread is beginning to look a lot like the dying days of the London Resort thread.

Did we ever solve the thrilling mystery over the can of WD40 by the way?
