I've no idea what it's for. Yet is interesting. Does anyone know much about these things?
I’ve had a quick google and it’s pretty much impossible to tell because there’s so many acronyms.

If it’s marking an entertainment space, upstage centre is a term widely used in stage direction so it could mark the centre rear of a stage?

But it could mean anything.

No water available from the freestyle machines at Towers. Still dispensing soft drinks but if you want to fill your water bottle it means going to a kiosk and potentially queuing up. This along with the ones at Thorpe and Legoland not working for the past week or so, seems like Merlin are having a bit of a nightmare with the freestyle machines at the moment.
Seems like theirs something more to this. Coke Freestyle machines need a fresh water supply in order to operate.

someone tweeted towers about it and they said it was a temporary issue and had been passed on to Coke.

I know abroad most of these machines have the water option turned off (Efteling, bobbejaanland, slagharren to name a few), so someone probably pressed the wrong button at towers 😛

Probably someone frantically pressing all buttons in sight trying to get the CCTV back on.

Some places (I think Universal Studios did it) turn the water option off on freestyle machines as the guests just wanting free water caused queues for those who had purchased refill cups.

I think at Alton there are some just tap water fountains near them too?

Didn't the water fountains get removed during Covid? I remember one by the Mutiny Bay Coffee Kiosk but it wasn't there last time I checked.

Yep, all the stand-alone fountains have all gone AFAIK leaving just the freestyle machines. I don't think the availability of free water from them is particularly well publicised so it seems unlikely that they'd turn off the feature for the benefit of those who've paid.

Water is back to being free at Universal parks on their freestyle machines (if they did indeed turn off a few years back). I used the free water option loads during my recent trip to fill my own water bottle.

If the freestyle machines are indeed on the same network as the CCTV, maybe something in the code or that part of system was glitching out the cctv….. coke freestyle or cctv ??

Interesting theory, but doubt it's anything like that. More likely one park has found an issue of some sorts, struggled to resolve it, suggested to other parks they check for the same issue, and subsequently other parks have gone "oh fudge, we do indeed have the same issue". At a guess.

On resort today, and all Freestyle machines are down. We were told at Towers Trading that it’s not just AT either - all Merlin UK freestyle machines are offline today.
Our wonderful internet connected future where Coca Cola machines don’t even function without it.

Again, unlikely to be anything to do with connectivity, as otherwise you'd expect all machines to go down at the same time, whereas they haven't, each park has slowly joined the "not working" gang.

But for it to affect multiple parks it has to be something connectivity wise, not just water or no delivery of syrup.
