Wicker Man - General Discussion - Part Two

The ride host approached me as I was looking at it on the lift hill today. He said ‘it’s closed today sorry’. I said ‘oh I know but im coming for fireworks, will it be open for that’? He said ‘there’s no way it will be unfortunately’ I said ‘out for the season then’? and he replied ‘afraid so’. 😢 Gutted.

Won't be available for the Run Alton Towers event either then as that is just a week after the main season ends. I reckon they'll fix the issue during winter maintenance.

Oblivion is limping on.

Nemesis is already closed for some of next season but I have a source who's close to the head office of B&M and he says they're gonna open it halfway through the retrack as a boomerang.
Falling back into Oblivion? Honestly jokes aside, that does sound like a genuinely scary concept in which just as you think you are getting out of the hole, the Lord of Darkness cries out 'Suprise!' and you end falling backwards into the hole and remain down there with no escape...

That is some pretty scary nightmare fuel!

If its going to be shut for the last week then wouldn't it be better for them to take it off the app rather than it saying closed each day

Not really because no one really publicly knows how long it's going to be closed for regardless of what a ride host says. Removing it from the app only generates questions as to why it's not on there and causes guests to head to the ride anyway.

If they're 100% certain it's going to be closed, perhaps they should say something on the website, but removing it from the app wouldn't be all that helpful.
