Not really because no one really publicly knows how long it's going to be closed for regardless of what a ride host says. Removing it from the app only generates questions as to why it's not on there and causes guests to head to the ride anyway.

So they've fixed it already. If a ride host said it won't open this season they were clearly wrong as if it was definitive they wouldn't be sending it round
Moral of the story here is take what ride hosts say with a pinch of salt.
