Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

Not sure if Towers has been updated, but apparently the screens have been updated at the Burger Kitchen at chessie, by the looks of things the photos have just been taken on someone’s phone in the back and uploaded. I guess the only reason they have been changed is because half the menu had been cut and items removed.

I guess at least you can’t complain your food doesn’t look like the photos.
This has to be some sort of April Fools joke?

Nothing about those photos says Magical Day out, it is so sad.

The food we had at Woodcutters at opening was okay, Chips were not cooked enough for my liking, but the wait to get in, and then wait for food was very disappointing.

I actually have something positive to say. Went to Warwick Castle yesterday. Forgot my packed lunch, was starving so I had some chips from the fish and chip place to tide me over. The chips were lovely, I really enjoyed them. Nice and chunky, similar to what you’d get from an actual chippy.

I appreciate it’s pretty hard to mess up chips but thought I’d mention it anyway. They were quite expensive though £2.88 after pass discount and the portion wasn’t massive.

Is it still in the hut behind the castle by the river? From memory the fish and chips have always been pretty good.

Its a shame Alton Towers didn't bring back fish and chips after the fire and converted it to a cafe, despite the cafe next to Ripsaw being empty.
Which fire? The only two I can remember are the Skyride ones, neither of which involved anything other than Skyride infrastructure.

It was a small fire in the kitchen. They evacuated Forbidden Valley as a precaution. It was not as big as the other fires you referred to, so not sure if it made the mainstream media. However there's a small article here.

Mutiny Bay BK menu Feb half term vs now. (You can see from the pic where they have just stuck a replacement paper menu over the original).

Menu has expanded which is good, prices are up again though, £12.45 for a basic cheeseburger meal is criminal.

No mercy with those prices. Imagine how embarassing it must be to be the cashier taking the payments for these items. I don't think it's going too far to label the whole affair an absolute disgrace. If I was a business owner and costs were getting so high that I was forced to charge ludicrous prices like this I'd rather not sell the food at all. And let's be honest, that's not the reason, they're just being opportunistic. It is just embarassing.

Unfortunately the minimum wage is lower for under 23s so they can legally pay that.
Absolutely insulting though, especially given the required travel distance for most employees. I can only hope there are enough companies in the area that give all employees the 23+ rate that staff can vote with their feet.
