Chessington World of Adventures Resort

When I visited the other week and grabbed some chicken bites from Drop and Chicken I asked for some mayo. They chucked no less than TWENTY sachets in the bag.

20 sachets of mayo. For 10 chicken bites.

No wonder they’re charging now. Aramark was probably on the verge of bankruptcy from dishing out sauces so liberally 😂
Drop and Chicken? What on earth is that!? I think you mean Drop'N Chicken, got to be down with the cool kids.

£1.10 for ketchup though? Wow, that's very special.

Tbh monkey puzzle 2 course lunch is under £11 i think when i last went which is much better than anything on park…. Failing that the BP wild bean cafe is down the road….

I think on balance that having virtual queue only on MM in the initial weeks is probably the best way to go.

As with everything there are positives and negatives that come with going down that route but the low capacity, high RAP demand, high proportion of annual pass guests and the fact this is the first new coaster at the park since 2004 will all combine to total chaos.

At least if they manage the demand via VQ the queues won’t stretch back to the M25 for this thing.

Best of luck to all trying to get a go!

We’re planning to go during summer 1/2 term specifically to ride MM. I’ve never used a virtual queue, will there be a dummy’s guide somewhere? Would be v annoying to make the trip and then not get on…

I am sure there will be full instructions as and when it’s announced. You might even find they have dropped the VQ requirement by the summer holidays. Just keep an eye on here as I am sure it will be covered in great detail!

That doesn't make sense. Unless the rides have an issue, surely you would operate them until close on a busy day?

When does school trip season begin? Will be in the UK during June and July but would like to get a visit in before all of the schools turn up.
Not exactly sure but sometime in July. I'd get your visit in as early as possible when you're here.

10th July is an inset day where I live so I’m hoping it’s not in Staffordshire to sneak in a trip to Towers when it’s not too busy. Schools don’t normally do trips on Mondays (do they?)

Probably one of the worst days for school trips in the entire year.

From the MAP Facebook group, there is a Passholder preview event for Jumanji on the 14th May. Two sessions, 1-3 and 3-5. Tickets will be via Eventbrite and linked to the group.

It’s a 6pm close. Sorry, but it’s likely to be packed full of school kids all that week, and the week after.

Ah bum. Oh well; it’s booked now and it’s not the only time we’re going this year we’ll just have to suck it up.

(And I’ve managed to double post again and can’t work out how to delete it - failing in all directions right now)
